(Are we ready to get this shitshow started?)

Valentina danced her way down the main street of the town, humming as she went. She twirled not afraid of her skirt lifting a bit to show off her calves, especially not in front of Mateo, the cutest guy she'd ever seen in her entire existence in the Encanto. Though, much to her dismay, the son of the craftsman was nowhere in sight.

She sighed but soon noticed a pair of girls looking her way. An easy smile appeared on her lips, and she wiggled her fingers in a flirtatious wave. The girls whispered between themselves, blushing as they looked at Valentina, then at each other. But Val kept walking through the town, sparing only a brief wink over her shoulder before she continued on.

Eventually, Val decided to make her way back to Casa Madrigal. She skipped through the doorway smiling at the other members of her family. Since no one in the house was giving off negative energy, Val was in a good mood as she headed to her room, practically skating over the floor thanks to Casita's aid.

Arturo was walking out of the kitchen as Valentina breezed in the door. He gave her a small smile, before taking another bite of the pandebono he was holding. There was a loud pop as his knuckles healed quickly, and he grimaced just a little. Tia Julieta stepped up behind him and touched his shoulder.
"Try to be a little careful next time, nieto." she said gently.
"Hey, if it means I can have more of your food, I'll break my knuckles again." he said quietly, his voice low and rumbly, kinda like the noise of grinding rocks. Julieta just patted his shoulder, smiled, and went back into the kitchen.
Arturo turned and slowly followed his cousin up the stairs to his room, which was on the opposite side of the third floor from hers. Casa Madrigal had grown as the family had grown, and the third floor was pretty large. All the cousins who were old enough to have their own rooms were up here, with their parents and grandparents still on the second floor below them.
Of course, the concept of 'floors' was confusing when it came to Casita. The rooms were massive once you were inside, so really, the doors were on the assigned floors, but that was about it.

(well hello there)
( @Avhira , any chance I could ask the same thing of you I asked from Toothless? Sticking a little closer to the source material? There are some beautiful girls names in Spanish. Also, an orphan wouldn't get powers, kinda like Felix didnt get powers by marrying in, yanno? Having her be Pepa and Felix's kid would work tho)

Valentina grinned and waved over at Arturo. "¡Buenos días, primo!" she called out, grinning as she spun around. She noted the way her Tía Abuela Julieta was speaking to him, and she slowed her movement. She could feel her Tía Abuela's concern, and it made Val worried about her cousin. She noticed the pandebono he was holding and his injury before it healed.

She made her way up Casita's stairs but pivoted once she reached the top and waited for Arturo to reach her. "Mi querido primo," she cooed, eyeing his hand again. "What happened to your hand?"

Arturo waved at Valentina with his good hand, and flashed her a smile at the top of the stairs.
"Nothing to worry about, Lucecita. Just messed up my hand working on expanding the town borders." As the town in the Encanto grew, land needed to be cleared, and part of Arturo's job recently had been working with Tia Luisa to clear the rockier sections of the foothills around the mountains. "Tia Julieta fixed me right up." He tore a piece off his pandebono and offered it to her.
"What are you up to? I'm supposed to take a break." Valentina was always fun. Arturo would often hang around her, simply because she could carry a conversation without a lot of help from him.

Valentina's eyes softened. "Of course she did. She's the best. You didn't see my mama out there, did you? I didn't see her when I went for a walk this morning and wondered where she was. But I was just heading to my room. Oh! Did I ever tell you about the time she healed my ankle after I completely disgraced myself in front of Mateo? Julieta, not my mama. Stars, Arturo, it was the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to me. I was walking–"

Val cut herself and her story off at the arrival of Diego approaching. She grinned at him and reached to tousle his hair. "Hola, problema," she teased. "¿Dónde has estado, hermanito?"

Arturo shook his head as she asked about Isabella. He was going to explain he thought she'd been down in the market at the opposite end of town, but Valentina kept talking. Which was fine. It always made him smile.
He began working through Diego's wings, clearing the loose feathers and helping him realign them. His cousin, despite being older, often inspired Arturo's more protective instincts.
He had to chuckle quietly when Valentina ruffled her brother's hair. Diego wasn't fond of that, and his expression was comical.
He used the moment of silence to interject. "I thought I saw Tia Isabella heading towards the market, though that was hours ago."
