@Blueberry_Chick

Tell me anything and everything about your D&D campaign. Funny things that happened, items you received, evil stuff you did as DM. EVERYTHING!

@Fraust

One guy got killed by a succubus in front of my character. He was also a rock knome, so it was pretty funny lol. Once she rolled a 20 for deception he was hella screwed, even though the DM tried to givehim opportunities to escape

@Blueberry_Chick

AHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA. Once one of my characters rolled a crit 1 on deception and I had a hell of a time with that. Instead of just the person, he was trying to deceive not believing him, no one in the room believed him ever again.

@Fraust

Lol nice. They actually went to the strip club with the succubus because the other three people in our group were solving some code and the two of them got bored. So, the DM took them gambling and then clubbing, and our gay demon guy was just getting drunk and having a blast while the rock knome got killed

@Shadow_Knight group

An archer that was targeting me ended up killing himself when he hit himself with his own bow. We also found a Cultist in a closet. My group has a tendency to steal useless items. We have a gnome that is only two feet tall and my character may be mothering two Griffen eggs that stole with him.

@saor_illust school

(Why is DnD so popular? And why the heck didn't I start playing it sooner? And for reference, I just started playing it, and in the next 5 days there is absolutely no chance of me being a DM whatsoever)

@M.W.Poel

I used to DM for a group that was very chaotic and rarely reacted how I thought they would especially towards NPC's. There was this one NPC, information broker/ skilled smith/ head of a crime clan, who was fairly friendly and could have been very useful to the party. All they did with him though was getting some sweet items and that was it.
On the other hand, they absolutely loved the minor NPC who was part of an evil cult due to bad life choices. I'm pretty sure they would have made him their mascot if they weren't under the supervision of an important person.

I've never actually finished anything that wasn't a one-shot though. Not as a dm nor as a player. :p

@M.W.Poel

Quick update: It seems that I'll finally be finishing a long-running campaign this time (as a player)! We're currently fighting the Kraken-end boss with makeshift napalm-Esque torpedoes and wizards. Nothing is really going as planned but we're still standing.
We've been playing for three years.

@Yamatsu

I played DnD for the first time and died on the second encounter. Those damn Kenku rogues stabbed me while I went up the stairs!

I Have always loved D&D, but haven't been able to actually play it.
Well, here I am with my human warlock (Patron is a demon; Pact of the Chain) and I am now in a group of 11 people and the DM (whom I might have a crush on) is confusing the living h— out of me with what's to come in our first session!
I'm so anxious!

Deleted user

(XD)
I don't think that we'd be seeing wyverns in our first sessions!
But thanks for the advice!

Deleted user

Appearently, there's a 1/6 chance that we meet a bad guy in the place we all meet up in.
YAAAAAY!

@Shadow_Knight group

We have a list of 36 prophecy's that he has given us and according to him we almost have 1/3 of them. Hehehehehe. Im scared because most of them preach about suffering and 12 hours of battle.

Deleted user

Welp, I'm a new dm, so I'm stealing ideas from here, if that's all right.

Deleted user

(I'm building a team of our players to (not literally and not really) screw over our DM for the fun of it all!)

Deleted user

Yep…
I have no life whatsoever and will most likely have to choose my patron (who's a demon who's goal is to invade all the realms) over my party else I'm guessing I might be smitten and stripped from my warlock-y powers.
And I don't know if I'd kill my party doing so. I doubt it, but I'm assuming something bad would hapen to the rest of the party…
And the only person my character's connected to is our Tabaxi monk.
I got advice from my friend (who plays the ranger) to choose my patron…but then…
My DM is freaking me out and I think he's loving it…
*sigh

of course they are still there and abundant , it is just a matter of definition of a chat room, back 25 years ago it was AOL chat, then its been skype and others ,
whatsapp and facebook messenger changed it a lot but its still online chat rooms for all practical purposes, then came covid and the massive growth in video chat, for both business and private use, they are all doing basically the same thing, they just got more flexible and smarter with each iteration from text only, to voice only, mix in a bit of video and hey its 2021 there are also quite literally hundreds of now ageing chat room apps out there just maybe a smaller audience, as zoom, or https://dndguide.net/ or whatever video one you like made them even more out of touch.
