That title is confusing, so I'll clear things up. I'm working on a couple more creatures, including things based on Dante's Inferno. I've written down the different angel species (seraphim, cherubim), however, I can't seem to find any demon species! If there are none, then do you have any ideas?

I'm open to suggestions!

Good question, obviously demons aren't quite as orderly as the ranks of heaven and there doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule for all of this but it's my understanding that the hierarchy of demons is the same as the hierarchy of angels. Because after all demons are fallen angels, so the famous ones like Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Asmodeus were presumably once Seraphim when they were still in heaven. I don't know if that's helpful, I'm sure you could find more information online too. Good luck.

There are multiple classifications, such as the Lesser Key of Solomon, in which supposedly, Solomon wrote about the demons he enslaved, describing individuals. Then Spina's Classification of Demons, which classifies demons of fate, lying, cheating and stealing demons, familiar demons, inccubi, succubi, and demons of the land, air and sea. The Lanterne of Light classifies the 7 Demon Princes, and there are many more.

Also, I love Dante's Divine Comedy, and De Hierarchia Celestialus. Of course, you could just use that, and parody it. The Seraphim, Cherubium, Thrones, Powers, Virtues and all those.

@Yamatsu

I saw a writing prompt the other day that also might help. Everyone knows the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Heavenly Virtues, but no one knows about Apathy, Distraction, Procrastination, Undecidedness, Irritation, Anxiety, and Depression, the Seven Unnecessary Inconveniences.
