so,,, in the book I'm writing I've decided to make some of the important relationships, sibling relationships! I'm not sure how I'm doing though, and I don't know if they seem too… fake I guess. so help would be appreciated! if anyone else also needs help I'll be happy to try my best :3

the first siblings are Akito and Takeo.
they're complete opposites and don't generally hang out with each other, but they do care for and annoy each other. Akito is more of a goof, and he's very friendly and loud. Takeo is more serious, and prefers to keep to himself. he's also kinda loud though.

the second siblings are Claudia and Tatius
Tatius is a very vague and serious person, but he also is very kind… sometimes. he is quiet but speaks up when needed. Claudia is also quite serious, although she is a little more open and friendlier than Tatius. she is a bit awkward, and therefore quiet, but loves to speak to people anyway.

It's perfectly normal for siblings to have different personalities and interests, but in my experience, my brother and I also share interests. My brother and I annoy each other, and it usually turns into a short argument or fight, but within like two minutes one of us will show the other a meme or something and we're all good. Sibling relationships are interesting to ride because it depends on the personality and environment they grew up in. A sibling can either be your ride or die, someone who would do anything for, or they could be someone you never want to associate with. It all depends! But usually, a sibling will make you mad one second and then be giving you life advice the other. Hope this helps! Your characters sound interesting and I hope you figure them out!

"Leo! Leeeooo!"

Brain threatening a headache, Leo pops his head around the corner. "What?"

Rein points accusingly at his Soulmate. "Ferroc's eating all his crunchies! He's eating them all! Smack him, Leo. He's eating them!" Rein's tone indicates this is a travesty of the highest order. Because, dammit, he is the designated crunchy-receiver when there are crunchies to be received!

Leo sighs and walks in, plucking several of the fallen bits from the bottom of Ferroc's pizza box. "You mean these crunchies?"

"Yes!" Rein shouts, holding out his hand in demand.

"Ah," Leo says, and then pops them in his mouth.

Rein squawks indignantly. "BETRAYAL!"

My two main characters are brothers. Brothers are my favorite type of characters to write for some odd reason. A lot of times, people will write siblings as characters that are opposites. Though I believe that if you're going to go this route, they need to be opposites that work together well. I have to use my characters as examples since I don't have much else to go off of.
I describe my main characters, Clifford and Rye, as the sword and the shield. A pair so different, yet work so well together. That's where their cooperation comes in. However, it's difficult for a sword to understand how a shield could be so sturdy; and the shield can't fathom how a sword could be so sharp. This is where the conflict between them comes from.
I hope this makes some semblance of sense. Maybe this could help you think of ideas of what you can do for yours. Look at some popular sibling pairs in media and see what they did right/wrong.

Okay from my experience, siblings generally don't get along until their early adulthood unless there is a large age gap is involved. When there /is/ a large age gap, the older sibling tends to dote on the younger one, as if they were a parent. On the flip side, if they are close in age they tend to despise each other and do anything to spoil each other's fun.

No problem, and thank you very much~ <3

My advice on siblings is their relationship depends on outside influences. Just like how most siblings are depicted closing ranks if someone outside the family bullies them while they bully each other horribly themselves.

So the more trouble the siblings face, the closer they're likely to be. The more relaxed things are, the more opportunities for them to find things about each other that annoy them. (That's part of why twins tend to either be deliberate opposites or try and copy each other as much as possible.)
