I felt that

I had a bit of a crush on a few of mine before. More than actual people Lol. Like Gaudari. Frickin love her.

I have a few ocs that I specifically designed so they could be my perfect partner if they were real. I'm ace, mind, but if these peeps showed up, I'd love to be in a platonic relationship with one of them ^^;

I have a couple characters who genuinely feel like family to me at this point. Ram is basically a brother to me now, Boss is like an unruly son. Also Payton is my daughter and I love her, even though she's way older than me. Scott's like a strict aunt, and Cello's like an adopted father. Who I adopted. He needs to be smacked a lot.
But especially Ram, I know him better than he knows himself at this point.

If I might join the conversation, I definitely have had crushes on my characters before and gotten overwhelmingly attached to all my OCs so like. It's not weird. That could just be my fluctuating empathy talking tho.

It's weird for me because I designed one of them (Azrael) to be lesbian, and they're the one OC i'm in love with, so if they were real, they wouldn't feel the same about me

I'd call mine squishes as opposed to crushes, but I feel like if Victor was real we'd be very good friends.

The way i do it is i imagine im interviewing my characters and they're telling their side of the story

What I do, (besides actually pretend to be them, which I do also, like, A LOT) is imagine I'm like their representative. I'm beside them in all their struggles, even if they don't know I'm here, and I speak for them when they can't speak for themselves.

I have too many One Piece ocs, so I just put myself in their perspective and spend all night trying to fit them in the story in places where it was too fast-paced to do it as I watched along
