Anyone have character whose powers/abilities/attributes are linked with something cool and weird? For example one if my characters sold their soul to be able to turn inanimate objects into demons and control those puppets, while another has a demonic form associated with gluttony, that is a weird, nightmarish hyena thing. If so, please share!
Would ypu like to share a few?
After Oleander heals/resurrects him, he kinda possesses Lucas by whispering negativity to him from inside his head.
That's interesting.
There's a show I'm sure a lot of you watch for each of the characters Powers is a gimmick. Boku no hero Academia. Seriously just look around it. Todoroki it's fire in frost, Bakugo is nitroglycerin sweat oh, and what's her name is literally tactile gravity nullification.
I uh..I have these three siblings who can kinda…combine..themselves…..into one being. And like..this being is their own person but each of the siblings can speak through them or take control of the body if they need, though they usually don't do either. You can tell who's talking or is in control by the little shapes on the being's cheeks… It's unique I guess but it's always seemed a bit extra to me; I just liked the initial 'fusing' concept. :/
eeee i have a few characters who are werecats (YES WERECAT) and because werewolves' 'allergicness' to silver is so prominent i made them 'allergic' to bronze.

Seems kinda strange, but definitely originally and inventive!
Uh, okay.
The first that comes to mind is James, he killed a powerful deity to gain his powers. He has the ability to shapeshift, the most powerful form is a humanoid wyvern that nearly breaks the lines between the multiverse.
Next would be the Godtier trio, Cedar, Rose, and Oliver. They're very powerful, they were born with mental-manipulative powers, and since they're born in a world where magic has been erased, they are in a ton of danger.

ah thank you Shuwwi-sensei

Okay, can I just say, I LOVE universes with powerful characters! Most people I write with IRL have severely underpowered universes and characters!.
Also cool to see another person with a multiverse!

Thank you! I'd show you Inanis Keinto but they're not finished yet. They can make portals throughout the multiverse, which led to paradoxes (dimension travelers) getting into the world, which is strictly against magic. But that's really off topic…
I have a world I'm calling UndecidedReprogrammedTransmuted and it's public so y'all can go look at it if you want
but the point is they are all genetically modified to have powers. there's 12 characters so i won't list 'em all but, again, you can go look at them
Yeah. Mine involves an Eldritch demon making deals with people for their souls and screwing them over. So they all get revenge… It's mid-level in power!

Sure thing!
thanks, critique would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, ah, the siblings are a bit sociopathic, so…the being (their name is Dell) is a bit psychotic because it's much more unstable, hence why the sibs sometimes need to take control and keep them calm. Dell usually goes off to find something to fight or, if in the mood, kill, as soon as they "wake up", but after maybe chasing something around for a bit to get out any energy they build up while the sibs where separate, they're basically a cat at heart. A constantly angry cat that won't let anyone near without hissing or trying to claw you, but a cat nonetheless. Friends of the siblings often use Dell to help with crimes and…stuff. Too extra, right?
Also there's Megan. Megan, she's something different. She's a paradox, but instead of transferring smoothly, she was "reincarnated" into a new person, losing her memories of why she traveled in the first place. When she was about 14-15 she started having "sights", small glimpses into her past life and the multiverse. The tremendous effect on her body and mentality caused her to lose her sanity and develop a crippling seizure disorder. Despite these facts, she remained stable enough to keep some relationships and have children with Tamriel who is plot twist, her husband from her old universe.
I make things complicated. Also, look at their children, Sergio and Ada, I love them.
I will PM you my criticism @ember-chan-is_in_love_with_her_demons
@Borking-Through-the-Snow and as for abilities?
And Connie, wow, I'm loving yours the more I hear about it!
Idk if this counts but as a villain I have a community or rabid earthworms who live under the crust of the earth, slowly mining it out until eventually they knock down the whole top of the planet, leaving it to rebuild itself after all the humans die. It isn't so much a gimmick so much as they will do that over and over and over whenever humanity becomes too corrupt.
I mean kinda! It seems odd and inventive!
lol it's a thing I would mess with my siblings about to make them think I was weird, and then it occurred to me I could actually use them, along with the rabid sharks slowly making their way up the mississipi river to invade every river system in the country… and then the world (As you can see when I learned about rabies I decided to have fun with it despite the only mammals thing because it's fiction and anything can happen)
Here i go again.
Meet Nephthys, my paradoxical Egyptian cyborg. Pulled from her world to be placed within an experiment facility. She has machine guns and other weapons installed within her body.
Dell has a connection to electricity (they have this wire-like tail), so they can harness electricity and..well, do whatever you'd think a psychopathic creature would do with electric powers. The siblings don't know about this though since their friends agreed not to tell the first time they saw Dell actually use the power, nor do they know that the youngest sibling is the one Dell got said power from. They can also do this sonic-screech kinda thing - their 'voice' sounds like static and broken electrical noises, so they can like, raise the decibels of their voice and incapacitate any living thing within earshot, and it works as an EMP.
Cool! I'll introduce my gimmicky bois and gorls when I'm home, and can charge my phone.
My character is kind of OP in his own way. First, his reflexes, fighting skills, shooting skills, and his speed are sights to behold.
These skills don't have any drawbacks besides the limits of the human body, even though he's a bit more intelligent and strong and fast naturally than the grand majority of humans because he grew up on a messed-up planet filled with horrible weather and genetic experiments gone wrong, and the humans that survive must constantly be alert.
Next, his augmentation. He built it all himself, he's a wizard with technology. He can read minds, communicate with the dead, and come back to life if he's killed. There's a few drawbacks, such as it's really really painful when he comes back to life, and the other technologies have to be attached to him at all times so that they work, but also if he takes them off it'll be bloody.
He's really intelligent and manipulative. I wouldn't say I'm proud of him (he's kind of a lawful evil person & the main antagonist of my story) more of I'm proud that I thought of him.
