This was my worst problem, so I've spent a lot of time working on it. And I'm sorry to say that it just takes time. When I was fifteen, I had so much trouble. Now that I'm almost nineteen, I've had four years to work on understanding myself and other people and the motivations of humanity in general. It started to become easier to actually write realistic people after that. Just start learning wherever go, in whatever you do. Really think about what makes your motivations and desires affect your actions, think about it with people that aren't like you. Heck, think about why people throughout history did what they did, try to think of what motivations are behind the momentous moments in history. Once you spend time doing that, it'll come out in your writing.

LAST NOTE: I see a trend of writers copying other writers in characterization, worldbuilding, plot, WHATEVER, when the best way to get a fresh look at REAL people and life is to copy the real world and real people, not to copy how "all the other writers do it." That'll help you find your voice and give you new ideas on how to describe people and events, too. It's like copying fanart vs drawing something out of your own head.

No problem! Hope you have success with it. If you want me to, I could look at your characters and see if I get any ideas? But only if you want me to. :P
