I have quite a few characters I think are interesting, but would like to see what other readers/authors think at first glance. First up, Electra. 23-years-old and married, but suddenly becomes obsessive over the disappearance of her husband and the feelings that return because of it.

Yay!! Characters!!

Ok, one sentence isn't much, but here's what I got…
-AWESOME name, but what kind of universe is she in? That name only flies in some genres.
-I love the fact that you're writing about someone who's married!!
-Obsessive… tell me more. Is it BAD obsessive?
-These feelings. Probably some sort of grief, but is there guilt? Fear?

That's all I can get from the one sentence, but if you want to tell me more I would love to hear it!

Haha, glad you're as excited about characters as I am! As for her name, it's actually part of an old Greek myth, which is actually a nod to her origins when my friend and I first created her. It's more fantasy than anything, but it's set in our own 2012. (It's complicated, a little bit of world hopping). I thought it fit and it was a generally easy name to remember, so I thought I might stick well :)

Obsessive is more of a summary word. She's spent her life trying to get rid of an overwhelming feeling of displacement that's only every satisfied when her husband is with her. Now that he's missing, it's back along with a worry that wants to swallow her whole.

But I'm super excited you like it at first mention! It relieves me, cause I wasn't sure the starting basis was enough to keep a reader in the story. xD
