I wonder if Jacob's "thoughts" might be someone or something else speaking to him.

As a religious person, I can't really understand how someone who just miraculously survived an accident couldn't question if there is someone or something out there watching over us. However, thanks to the explanation given, I can understand how Jacob is agnostic.

The Soulkeepers Chapter 3: The Memory

Judging from this chapter's title alone, I'm guessing that Jacob is going to remember what happened…. Rather early for this in my opinion.

Jumping right on into what I'm hoping is just a nightmare, not a memory; as I said before, I think that it's too early for that.

He smelled sulfur. Demon?

His mom looks/seems like a badass.

So, not a demon (at least how I see demons to be). More like a dragon based off of how the creature is described.

Correction: Jacob's mom is a badass!

Okay, that was a short chapter. I'm not even going to repeat myself here since y'all already know what I thought about him remembering this at this point in the story….

Dracula Chapter 4

Gypsies, his one and only hope! (Or so he thinks. Bro, you have a crucifix and other items to ward off vampires yet. USE THEM!) Also, I don't trust these Gypsies. They're superstitious, yet they've made camp in front of Drac's castle. Heavily suspicious!

I knew those Gypsies shouldn't have been trusted!

That's quite the time leap. Just went from May 31st to June 17th. I understand needing to hide the journal and whatnot, but those gaps of time man! I wonder if Dracula has given Harker more clothing, or if Jonathan's been wearing the same thing since May? Maybe he's walking around nude? I NEED ANSWERS!

Those "great, square boxes" must be coffins.

The Gypsies/Szgany have fallen victim to Dracula, as well Harker. Just they're apparently doing physical labor. A better guess would be that they've become food for the vamps.

I chuckled at the fact that Dracula has decided to wear Harker's clothing! Quite sick that he's feeding children to his femme vampyres.
