It's not. There's some good backstory on Eli, but I would wait until the third book is released and see the reviews for that before reading it.
Yeah Renegades is pretty good, the official art sucks balls though.
You guys should read Prince of Thorns, it's a really good grimdark science fantasy.

Good Historical Fiction about France. Really easy read, (like for a 10 year old) but still really good. I have only met one other person who has read it and NO libraries have it. very few bookstores have it
The Road by Cormac McCarthy - A bit bleak and slow moving but an interesting take on post-apocalyptic society. Highly recommend if you have played/watched The Last of Us
