If y'all haven't read "Let It Snow" by John Green, Lauren Myracle, and Maureen Johnson during winter, you don't know love. Duke's love for hash browns, specifically.

read that the other week, only got through the first section, but i really liked it!

So uh. I know that like five people have already said this, but "They Both Die at the End" by Adam Silvera???? FUCK this book (in a good way). I was fucking in tears through nearly the entire goddamn thing, and it broke my fucking heart, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants their heart ripped out and stomped on

YES! I HADN'T CRIED BECAUSE OF A BOOK IN FOREVER
I was just like, haha these weak people crying over characters we knew were going to die. I won't. And then.. and every single death was written so well too

I've actually never cried while reading a book (the books I've posted here are just books that made me wish I had) but I have an entire Goodreads shelf of books that made me Emotional.

@Vuclan-is-tired

SONG OF ACHILLES. THIS BOOK BROKE ME SO BADLY. READ IT FOR FUN THEY SAID. IT WOULD BE GOOD THEY SAID I'VE BEEN SOBBING INTO MY PILLOW FOR THE PAST HOUR. I JUST FINISHED IT AND I AM NOW SITTING IN A STATE OF NUMBNESS AND TEARS.

I know it’s been a while since someone posted on this thread, but I’m bored and decided to go for this.

The Ghost King- R. A. Salvatore (This is book 22 of the Legend of Drizzt Saga. I highly, highly recommend you read the previous books to get proper context. The entire series is really good. However, this is a tearjerker from hell)

Hero- R. A. Salvatore (Book 33 of Legend of Drizzt Saga. Sad cry, then happy cry)

Sara’s Song- Fern Michaels (For the saps out there)

I'm not someone who really cries a lot and so far only 3 books have actually succeeded in making me cry actual tears and there they are:
Scythe- Neal Shusterman
Thunderhead- Neal Shusterman
The Book Thief- Marcus Zusak

They're all marketed as Teen/YA. Scythe and Thunderhead are both part of the same series. There's a 3rd book coming out sometime this year, and I predict that one will also make me cry.

The Book Thief starts out kind of slow, imo. I considered DNFing it for like the 1st third of the book, which is really unfortunate because the rest of the book was so perfect. I definitely still do recommend it though.

ooh my friend is super into Scythe. i read big books fast so im thinking about reading it as well. would you recommend it, and what is the theme/plot without spoilers?
