Hi all!

Whenever you delete a worldbuilding page (characters, locations, etc), it goes into your account's "recycle bin" (available by clicking "Recycle bin" under "My account" in the sidebar). Until now, you could "un-delete" any page you'd deleted in the past 24 hours – this was implemented for people who accidentally deleted a page they didn't mean to, or decided after the fact that they didn't want to actually delete a page.

The recycle bin page has been improved: there's an easier design to navigate that lists each page type, as well as more information on each deleted page. You can now also choose to permanently delete pages immediately instead of waiting for the recovery period to be up (when they're automatically permanently deleted).

I've also increased the time alotted for everyone to restore their pages after deletion. Premium users can restore pages up to a week after deletion, and everyone else can now restore pages up to 48 hours after deletion (up from 24 hours). This gives a little extra padding for people who don't realize they've accidentally deleted a page or change their mind even later.

So you don't have to go delete your own pages just to see what it looks like (ha), here's a screenshot:

There are a few other quality-of-life improvements in the background also included in this release:

  • Bulleted lists are now fully-functional in documents.

  • The IP address you've last logged in from is now hidden by default on your account settings page; you can hover over it to reveal it.

  • Faster page load times on the document editor.

  • Fixed a few errors that caused document analysis from completing successfully the first time.

I've also added a bit of code that's going through and backfilling a manual ordering on all categories and fields. This'll significantly speed up the page load times when completed (since I won't have to sort manually on every page load) but will take a while to complete (there are about 6 million database rows to update!). I'll be monitoring this to make sure it's running smoothly, but do let me know if you see any categories or fields out of order. Once this is complete, it'll also fix the bug that happens to some people that prevents them from being able to reorder some categories or fields.

Happy worldbuilding!
