nightfall, pt1/1

He scoffed, “the absolute audacity! How DARE someone challenge me, especially some good for nothing ally rat who thinks he’s been blessed by the gods. This little delusional ‘hero’ has been bringing freedom and, ugh even worse, hope to the villages on the outskirts of my territory. It was a nuisance, but nothing that hasn’t happened before, up until he killed his sphinx and raided my hoard. Generations on generations of gold, cursed items and magical heirlooms, and an entire third of it gone and funding the rebel cause! Now this is PERSONAL.

The hero started getting an ego after that little stunt, and he claimed TWO major cities in the past seven months.”

He ranted, venom oozing from his every word, to the thing in the shadows, but started slightly when heard it begin to sir. A scaled draconic head slowly emerged into the dim light, it’s sad eyes stare down at him, a rumble emanated from back in the shadows, “oh my, I was too loud wasn’t I. Apologies my dear, I didn’t mean to wake you.” He cooed softly. The beast stepped out of the shadows, it had more than seven heads all of them different and not all of them were even dragons, It had nine tails and ten legs, most of its misshapen body was covered in multicoloured scales.

The grotesque thing wailed and screeched, a sound of pure pain and rage and it’s every limb thrashed and the thick chains, glowing slightly with divine power holding it down, rattled violently. The man had to jump back a few steps when it came close to hitting him, “don’t worry my dear, you’ll be free of these restraints soon enough. And I promise you’ll gorge yourself on divine flesh and we will both bathe in the blood of the gods when time comes. The heroes’ prophecy WILL be his downfall…” He remarked coldly, a chilling, skeletal grin growing across his face.
