"A Necrowight is a creature that still lives although its body has, in the literal sense, succumbed and has ceased to function." - Sebastian Grace is 17 years old; lonely and isolated with a difficult home life. She has a distant mother, a stepfather who belittles her, and has no friends. When Grace is attacked by an unknown creature, she is rescued just in time and taken to hospital. During her slow recovery she tries to find out what happened to her, but to no avail.
Alone and confused, she goes back to the place she was attacked to search for answers - and her world and life would never be the same. Grace finds out she was attacked by a 'Necrowight' and will now go through the painful process wherein her body's functions will cease but her soul will remain and, as a result she will essentially live forever. Add to the mix she has to deal with visions, cravings and falling in love with a fellow Necrowight.
Let's just say her new life is complicated to say the least.
