Isa and Olate

Isa had found the Feywild as a young boy. He was alone, abandoned by his parents. He had to live on the streets for a few years, being chased out, and almost dying due to his lineage as a tiefling. People call him a 'devil-child', and far worse things. These sorts of judgements were fewer when he was very young, people pitied him more then hated him. But as he grew up a little more, people began to hate him for it. His horns grew more visible, his skin reddened, and he simply looked more like his blood, and more terrible. So people hated him, and he had to run. Isa was very young, only around 13 at the time. Then he found the Feywild. He stumbled into a peaceful woods, and found himself amidst a group of Fey creatures. He had crashed into a tree, and the Feywild itself whilke running without abandon to escape and a pair of eldarin him with interest. Isa was prepared to run, having experienced the same situation of a curious stare turning into a vengeful attempt on his life countless times before. But the 2 Eldarin surprised him. Instead of raging at first sight, they held out a hand and helped him up. They did not judge him for his horns or heritage, they simply see a new arrival, a young boy. Not too long after, he met Olate.

One day, he ventured in what they called the Woods of the Exile. It was advised he stay away, as it is where the beasts that they fey would rather not associate with, or the mindless beasts. It is where the hags live, and the infamous Jabberwocky, or so they told him.  Isa found a small hut, and met Olate inside. Olate greeted him kindly, to which Isa asked why he was in the exiled forest. "..Why are you all alone out here? ...Sele' said you were an Exiled one....But you don't seem like you've done anything wrong.  Olate chuckles kindly "Why thank you. I suppose it starts with how I angered both of the courts, by doing something that I now regret. They banished me, and I accepted it. It is quite peaceful out here, and well...It doesn't matter much. I've not lost anything by being exiled, I simply now have an exucse to not bother with the court politcs. So why are you here little one? I don't think I've seen you around the woods before." Isa explains, "Well...I simply got lost in the Feywild I suppose. I was running away, and ended up here. ...

"Interesting. That sounds like it was a difficult life. So..It sounds like you plan on staying for a while, yes?" Isa nodded. "I plan on yes. Its probably the most kind place I'd ever been. At least for a little while, if I can." "Hm. Do you have somewhere to stay? If you're planning on living in the Feywild, you need some kind of shelter, or you'll end up at risk from the beasts of the Twilight." Isa asks, "Perhaps...Could I stay here? You have a nic ehouse, and it would be safe and away from danger and conflcits with the Courts. If you agree anyway." Olate nods. "I'd be happy to provide shelter for you young Isa. ....I'd be happy to help."

That was how Isa began to live with Olate. Olate was an exelebnt mentor, and taught Isa all about they Fey, about magic, nature, and all sorts of things.

One day, Olate was casting a spell to create his trademark tea, when Isa asked, "Can you teach me magic Olate?" Olate turned to Isa tea in hand. "Why would you need that?" Isa rocked on his knees consciously, and quietly answered. "Well... I need to return to outside eventually. But I know I'll still be hunted. So I thought, maybe if I had magic, I could better survive." Olate nodded. "Hm...Well...I think perhaps a pact would work better." "A pact?"  "Yes, a pact. In exchange for some favor, I'll grant you some of my power, allowing you to cast magic. I've taught you the theory of magic before, so it'd be simple for you to use it, if you had the powrer." Isa asks, "So...What favor would you ask?" Olate smiles and says, "SImply remain kin to me. And keep in touch." "Thats an easy favor. I was planning on that anyway. Its a deal, Olate.

A few days later, Isa packs his things, and walks to the Fey Crossing. He waves good bye, to the Feywild. "Good bye. Thanks for everything..." And he leaves, to go see the world he once was in.

Isa began to travel as an adventurer.
