Overview
Two university students, Canadian Lucas Horne and the rich and beautiful Colombian Avalina Vargas, meet during a jungle trek to Colombia's Lost City where they become infatuated with each other. After the trek, Avalina is abducted along with Lucas for ransom and taken to a remote jungle camp. News of their abduction sets in motion a country-wide manhunt and Lucas is sought as a collaborator. For Lucas, escaping into the wild rain forest will be even more dangerous than the kidnappers in the camp.
Somehow, he makes it back to civilization but is arrested. Rescuing Avalina means finding the hidden trail back to the camp; its entrance marked by two NIKE track shoes hanging from a high limb. Only Lucas knows where that is. By trading this knowledge to avoid jail, he is forced to guide an elite rescue team back into the heart of darkness. Lucas is plunged into yet another nightmare hoping to save her and salvage his humanity during the mission.
Doing the unthinkable will become reality and change him forever.
