With the lights low and the moon streaming through the glass, Felix rolls over in his bed. The sheets are warm, his eyes are glazed and his hands are slowly seeking the other body next to him. Green numbers from the alarm clock light up Felix's nightstand, the neon digits cutting through the shadow of the room.

Felix blinks, the shapes in the dark fuzzy, merging, morphing and splitting. His head feels heavy - a weighted blanket over his mind and pressing his thoughts. His heart aches inside a hollow chest, a bleeding, throbbing flower encased in a glass ribcage. It's been two years.

Flashes of the falling debris, the shattered lights, the strangled screaming and the corpses- 

His breath hitches. Her silhouette is standing in the corner of the room. Cyan rings meet Felix's golden eyes. 

A hand squeezes his own.

She's gone.

An arm slowly snakes beneath Felix's back, curling around his side and pulling him towards the other.

"Felix?" A groggy voice breaks the silence. The weighted blanket is lifted, the bleeding flower's drip slows. "Are you okay?"

Without thinking, Felix has wrapped himself around the other body, hands clasped and fused together
