For later.

~Memories~

Two boys ran through the woods, laughing and shouting. The one in front was younger, 8 years old to be exact. He had soft brown hair and stormy grey eyes. His name was Greyson Reed. His eyes were filled with nothing but happiness. The one behind him was older by a good few years. He had wavy caramel brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. This was Cassius Brown, this one was 15 The two ran out of the woods and towards the base of a hill. “Race you!” Shouted the young one running up the hill. The older one chuckled and ran behind him. They both reached the top, the race forgotten. Grey laid down and patted next to him, Cassius sat down and looked up at the sky. “We will always be friends, won’t we Cass?” Greyson asked his friend sitting up.

“Of course bud” he said hitting his shoulder slightly, they laughed and stayed there for a while. After sometime they both sat up. “Wanna roll?” Cassius asked Greyson who was smirking, “Hell yea!” He shouted as they both scooted toward the side of the hill. Laughing and screaming, they both rolled down, coming to a stop as they reached the base of the hill. As Greyson shook his head to get the grass shards out of his hair, Cassius dusted himself off. Their happiness was brought to an end when a young girl ran out of the woods, her face full of worry and fear. This was Mika, she was Cassius’s younger sister by an year. “Cass! There’s an attack! They need your help!” She shouted running towards her brother. His face went from laughter to worry in a second. He stood up, his sword appearing into his hands out of thin air. This was because his mother was from the Helka Clan, the magic clan. He ran into the woods with one last look towards his sister and best friend.

He gave a pained smile and disappeared. Though Mika tried her best to keep Grey there, he got out of her grip and ran towards his little village shouting Cassius’ name. He Reached and was shocked by the state of his usually peaceful village, fires licked the tops of the small huts, screams and cries filled the little valley. “Cassius!” The young boy shouted with hands around his mouth, he took out his dagger and ran towards the little pool which decorated the center of the village. As he was trained to protect himself and not kill, he gave a few people bloody knees and feet on his way to the pool. “Cass! Cassius!” He shouted, tears falling from his eyes before continuing his run. He reached the middle and looked around, His eyes stopped on the person who was propped against the wall of the pool, “Hey bud” he said weakly while trying to sit up but went back to his old position, giving pressure on his gut wound. “A-are you okay?” Greyson asked, now crying harder. “I think so” Cassius said trying to smile but failing miserably. He groaned and shifted. “Plea-please don’t go Cass. Don’t go like my mom” Greyson said taking Cassius’s free hand in his own, “he-hey I’m not going anywhere, okay?” He said smiling, but his voice failed him as it was laced with pain. Greyson nodded softly. Cassius smiled before hugging Greyson with his free hand. “I’ll always be there for you” he whispered softly before going limp in Greyson’s hands.

He let out a huge sob before tears poured out of his eyes. He was holding his best friend in his hands, The one who promised to come back, Cassius Brown. He looked at the peaceful face of his best friend. A stifled cry came from behind him followed my a thud. Grey didn’t have to turn around to know it was Mika who had fallen to her knees in shock. “Men retreat!” A voice shouted. Grey raised his head and saw a man with a black cloak, his face was hooded but he saw his eyes, those beautiful pink eyes that belonged to a murderer. Greyson had never felt such anger in all his life. Before he could even think of what to do to this man, he disappeared. But the fates had already decided it, They would meet again, and that one of them will be killed by the other.

Stargazing was Ashley’s favorite thing to do with her family. But today she didn’t have anyone with her when she walked to the roof and laid down on the fake turf that was laid across it. She looked up and started naming the constellation ; Andromeda, Antila, Apus, Aquarius, Aquila, the Big Dipper, Orion, Ursa Major and so on. This brought back a memory for her.

“Daddy, can we go to the stars?” a 6 year old girl asked her father. “Why do you wanna go there? It’s so far away!” Her father said laughing. “But they’re so pretty! And look how far away they are from each other. They must be so lonely” she said sadly. “But they have friends Ash. We just can’t see them” a woman said next to her. She had long brown hair and beautiful Amber eyes. “Why cant we see them?” She asked her mom “you’ll know when you’re older love. But now you know what you should know for now?” She asked smiling. “What?” Ashley asked curiously, “it’s way past your bed time you little sneak!” She said laughing before scooping up her daughter in her slender arms and taking her back into the house. Once Ashley was in bed her mom got up to leave the room. She gave a last glance to her daughter, tears building up in her eyes. She closed the door and walking into the bathroom before breaking down.

The next day, Ashley woke up to the sound of people walking around. She got up and brushed her hair before walking outside to see many people in black dresses. “Daddy?” She called over the sound, she walked absently towards the living room. She walked into someone in a black shirt and pants, she looked up before apologizing and continuing her walk. The man was someone she had never seen before. He had black hair and hazel eyes. Everyone turned to look at her as she walked into the vast space of the living room. Whispers filled the room as every eye turned on her, her father who was surrounded by people walked over to Ashley and took her in his hands before taking her outside. “Hey Ash” he said smiling through the tears. “Daddy where’s mommy?” She asked looking back into the house. “Mo-mommy went somewhere love” he said, his voice cracking. “Will she be back?” Ashley asked, “maybe sweetheart” he said hugging her.

4 years later, at the age of ten, She found out the truth at her fathers funeral. Her mother had died. The doctors wrote it down as a heart attack. But Ashley had a sickening feeling that that wasn’t the whole story. Her mind kept going to the man who had been there, the only one she didn’t know. She hasn’t seen him after that day but he never left her mind.

Astra walked through the forest holding her moms left hand and her dads right. She was jumping over every rock, using her parents hands for support. She was from the Auron and Lunalia clans. Her mom for Auron and her father from Lunalia. She let go of her parents hands and ran down the pathway, the air around only filled with the sound of her laughter and the chirps of the birds around her. “Come here Astra, don’t run off too far” her mother called, happiness in her voice. Astra had bend down to pluck some daisies, her moms favorite flowers, from beside the path when she heard her fathers footsteps. “Astra! Where are you?
