Sample One:

Poem had escaped the prison close to three days ago. Two days after her escape, the guards finally realized she was gone and reported it, thankfully enough time for her to fix herself up and blend in with the crowd once again. Though with each capture and escape, it grew harder to hide the scars she gained. One day someone would notice them and she'd have to begin coming up with excuses. Though she figured lying wouldn't be too hard, to the right people, anyhow.

She had made the decision to try and find another man to fool into giving her what she wanted. And with all the drunk men in the tavern, it would be easy to get something there, and she headed in. She sat at the counter with a bunch of other people, all of them had breath that reeked of booze. But nevertheless, she stuck it out. She looked around and noticed a few cloaked figures talking at a table, it was quite a suspicious sight. She got up and moved to a seat a little closer to them, snatching a pocket watch out of a man's pocket on the way. As to not be conspicuous, she struck up a conversation with the person next to her, but kept a keen ear in to the conversation.

Sample Two:

"Don't lie to me with such shaky confidence," he warned, "I don't appreciate liars." He walked closer to Rose and placed a steady hand over her jawline. "I know more about you than you even think I do, Rose. I've been around for centuries upon centuries, observing angels. Including you, Chihuahua."

He released her chin and began to turn and walk away, he glanced at his watch and clicked his tongue. The fiasco certainly managed to through him off schedule. "Watch your back, Rose, I won't always do it for you. Oh and," he continued, "the name's Agtharak. Remember it." He waved his hand and disappeared in a poof of blue-grey smoke.

Sample Three:

"Perhaps," he mused, and looked out the window. Not a single animal in sight. Not even a pathetic little fish. "But I don't feel like jumping out a broken window to see." He backed up from the window with a sigh, closing his eyes as he did so. It wasn't like him to talk so much, or keep such a cool head either. He was impressing himself at the point.

In fact, he'd only known this Daphne person for a grand total of 7 minutes and yet he'd let his guard down around this woman multiple times. Though, at least he hadn't a reason to regret it yet. He lifted his heels back off the ground and prepared to take off down the hall, glancing at Daphne and motioning her to follow before doing so.

"We're going to look around in some rooms," he explained, "so we can figure out just what this place is."
