The boy awakened to his phone buzzing. Groggily, he flipped the phone over and answered the call. “Hello..?” The person on the other end of the phone laughed. Lee had not bothered to check who had called him but the laughter was unmistakably that of his friend, Cody.

 “Hey Lee, I wake you up or somethin’?” 

Lee shot back half jokingly, “Yeah, ya did, thanks a lot!” 

Cody paused, amused, "You do know it's noon, right?" 

Lee froze, had he really slept in that late? "What do you mean "It's noon"!? My alarm  says-" Lee stopped talking when he looked at the alarm clock. 12:17. He must have read it wrong when he got up. 

Cody sniggered, "Wow dude, you're lucky I love you enough to not tell the others that you were gonna be late." 

"Hey Code, why'd you call anyways?" Lee inquired.
