The witch and the werewolf are neighbors. This is not unheard of, but still, people like to avoid that area of the neighborhood, lest some unfortunate supernatural accident occur. They don’t seem to have much to do with each other, but the witch and werewolf being near each other could only mean a higher chance of misfortune, a spell of bad luck. It’s best to just smile and wave if you see them, and then hurry on your way. It’s best not to linger.
The witch and the werewolf are neighbors. Their kitchen windows just happen to face each other. On late nights, when the werewolf’s nocturnal tendencies prompt a midnight snack, and when the witch’s potions and concoctions called for another ingredient or two, they see each other from their windows. If they both happen to desire a warm drink in the late hours, they see each other from across the window. And so, they only know each other from those nights, and not by day. But they are both alone, both outcasts in the rest of their community. They become drawn to each other, but who knows what will happen then. More misfortune? More bad luck?

I was inspired by this pin, so basically this but with an urban fantasy twist. This can be a kinda slow burn sort of thing, pretty wholesome and chill.
Rules!

  • I would like to be the witch pls ^^
  • the character that I’ll be using is a straight woman, so for our purposes it would be best to use a male or masculine-presenting character
  • let’s keep sexual themes to a minimum, pls, if it ever gets to that point
  • andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules
  • pls be an experienced rper, this is gonna be chill but I still want depth
  • I reserve the right to say no
  • if you have any questions or ideas for more plot or story, pls lmk! I would love to hear it

I’ll probably post a template once someone joins

"It's quite alright. I don't mind the work" she said. She really didn't. It kept her busy, and employed. She knew the prince was as competent as possible with the limitations put on him by his father. "It really wasn't much. I'll get out of your hair now." She said, leaving the room. She didn't want to patronize him, but she did know that he couldn't boil an egg on his own.
As she walked, she got lost in her own thoughts. She was curious of the woman she had replaced. She had no idea what she looked like, or what she was like as a person. She had heard about her in passing from the other servants, as there were rumors circulating that she had stolen something, but Azami didn't believe it. The servants weren't treated like royalty, but they surely were treated well for the most part. The king was awful, but the queen was kind, and the prince didn't really seem to care either way. He was polite for what it was worth.
She thought back on the prince. The look in his eyes always seemed to show great sadness. Greif even. It was rumored that he was incredibly close with the woman before Azami, and when she was executed, he shut off and built his walls back up.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she ran directly into a person.
"Watch it!" The person exclaimed, as the two fell onto the floor. It was the queens personal handmaided. She would certainly have an issue.
"I'm so sorry Abel. I wasn't watching where I was going." She scrambled to her feet and offered her hand out to the woman. Abel slapped her hand away and stood on her own.
"Shouldn't you be staring at Prince Alec or something?"
She said angrily. Abel had always made a point of teasing her for being a personal servant of the prince. She seemed to expected her to get as close to her charge as the woman before her. She also seemed to want to be close to the prince. She always pushed Azami to the side to get closer to the prince, and Azami hated it. She could tell the prince wasn't currently in the state for romance, but Abel didn't seem to respect his boundaries whatso ever.

They aren't always so long, I usually stop when i don't know what else to put

Name: Finn Berther
Age:26
Gender/pronouns:Cis male. He/him
Personality: He look's rough and mean, but he's actually very sweet. He's a people person, and it kind of hurts him that people avoid him like the plauge. He's loyal and once he finds a person he trust's that person will never get rid of him. He has his reservations about things, and people, but easily overcomes that when he goes to talk to people.
Backstory: To be decided (sorry i just kind of pulled him out of thin air. His story will be revealed and updated as we go along)
Hobbies: Gardening, Cooking/Baking, Community service
Appearance: In his wolf form, he's 6'9, and extremely muscular. not grossly muscular, but visibly so. His clothes grow and shrink to fit him, as they are enchanted. He usually wears a yellow flannel and black jeans. He has yellow eyes in both forms, and black fur.
Other: He has a human and werewolf form, just like every cliche werewolf ever, but his human form is simply a human with wolf ears blended into his hair, sharp teeth, yellow eyes, mild claws, a tail, and even patches of fur on his arms and legs.

(I'm sorry it's so cliche. I don't think about him much. I will make him better throughout the story though.)

@AnxietyGremlin group

(He's pretty generic righ now, nothing real special aside from his human-ish form and everything that makes him a storybook werewolf. I'll come up with stuff as i go. I'm super excited to see your girl though!)

Name: Victoria Birdwhistle
Age: 27
Gender/pronouns: cis female, she/her
Personality: generally a very sweet soul, Victoria is kind and empathetic, always willing to help someone in need. She’s usually pretty quiet, however, and tends to enjoy her own company. Practically minded, and enjoys simple physical activities/ getting stuff done. If you dare threaten her son, however, mother instincts will kick in and she will gladly fight you tooth and nail before you could lay a finger on her baby. She’s also rather clever, but she isn’t really known for her intelligence.
Backstory: Victoria was the only one in her family to born with magic in her blood, and though her father loved her even as her powers began manifesting, her mother and the rest of her community came to despise her. As she grew up, she tried to hide her powers, but a few incidents still occurred. Eventually, she and a true friend, Charlie, move to this town to start over. I’m not going to get into any details now, I’m saving it for later in the rp, but basically she ends up pregnant and gives birth to her son, Joel, who is now 3 months old. Victoria works as a photographer, since people don’t really appreciate the work of witches.
Hobbies: as she loves doing simple, procedural, and soothing tasks, she definitely found a love for sewing, knitting, and gardening. Loves reading as well, and photography. As it happens, photography is her main profession, to cover up her more witchy activities, like potion-making and making self-heating blankets. And, of course, taking care of her son.
Appearance: Victoria stands at around 5’7 with a skinny hourglass body with pale, milky skin. She has a heart-shaped face, a small nose, and thin lips. Her eyes are large and round, and a golden brown color. There’s a splotchy birthmark in the middle of her spine. Her gingery red hair comes down to her shoulder blades, though she usually keeps it pinned up and out of the way. She likes wearing a lot of greens and browns; sweaters, skirts, dresses, sometimes jeans.
Other: depression and PTSD, experiences dissociation. She has a few abilities that she was born with: telekinesis, superhearing, summoning force fields, and enhanced pain tolerance.

(Okay. I'm going to post it, but please don't feel like i want you to reply right away. Whenever you have time is fine. Also, if it sucks i apologize, like I said my brain is not focused on anything)

Finn lied in bed in the middle of the night. He had been lying there for hours. He decided to get up and go to the kitchen, as he was beginning to get hungry. He wandered to his kitchen in his small yet cozy house, and turned on the lights. He rumaged through his fridge for a few moments and decided to make a grilled cheese. He was alone at home, like always, and nobody was going to care.
He pulled out two slices of cheese, butter, bread, and a frying pan. He spread the butter on the bread after turning on the stove to let it heat up a bit. He placed the bread in the pan with the side he buttered down. He placed the cheese on that piece, and covered it with the other slice of bread. he watched it carefully, making sure not to let it burn. As he was watching his sandwich, he spared a gaze through his kitchen window. He really needed to get curtains. All of a sudden the lights in the house next to his turned on, and he could see a woman through the window. She was pretty. He watched her for a moment before turning to the grilled cheese. He plated his food and put it on the table. He sat down and could still see across the houses to the woman's kitchen.

(Thanks!)

Victoria sat beside her son’s cradle, gently stroking his head. He had woken up crying, and after feeding him a little bit and carrying him around in her arms, he managed to calm down. Now, she was waiting for him to go to sleep, so that she could go to sleep. She sang a soft lullaby to lull him to sleep and speak protections over him. Soon, little Joel closed his eyes and laid still. However, he had proven himself to be rather restless, so Victoria anticipated that he might wake up again. So, she decided to stay awake and make a small cup of tea in the mean time.
She made her way to the kitchen, turning on a lamp and the small under-cabinet lights, so that she could see but the light wouldn’t be too harsh. As she prepared a mug of hot water and retrieved a tea bag, her eyes drifted out the window. She could see the house across from her, the light in the window also on and illuminating the man inside. Victoria could feel her breathing becoming heavy and her heart sinking, though it wasn’t because he was a werewolf. No, this slow fear came over her because of something else, something more irrational that she knew didn’t make sense, but lingered in her anyway. She looked away and soaked the tea bag in the hot water, and let it brew for a while. She looked up at him again, caught sight of his wolf ears and a glint of his yellow eyes, and somehow it was then that her fear subsided.

He sat back in his chair, watching the woman for a slight moment, before getting up and walking over to the sink, which was right in front of the window. He began washing his plate, as for a werewolf he was very neat, and couldn't help but look up every now and then.
When he finished washing his plate, he looked up one last time, put it in the dishdrain beside him, and dryer his hands. He turned to leave and looked at the woman one last time, he guessed she was making tea, or maybe coffee, he wasn't sure. He turned off the light and went back to his room, laying in his bed and going to sleep. Or at least he tried. He thought about her, and if she'd seen him. Lost in his thoughts, he fell asleep.

The next morning, he woke up around seven thirty. He got up and showered, and then went to go make breakfast. He pulled out eggs, bacon and bread. He had no guests, or any real reason to be making such a breakfast, other than he wanted to. He turned and, once again, there was the woman. He looked at her for a moment, before turning away quickly when she turned to the window. He began cooking his eggs, and frying his bacon. When his food was near done, he turned to the window, and she was still there. He put his bread in the toaster and went back to plate his bacon and eggs. He turned off the stove and went to the cabinet by the sink. He looked out the window again. Something made him want to look. Maybe just to see if she was still there. Maybe just to be nosy. He didn't know, nor did he care much. He got a cup, and poured himself a glass of orange juice. He put butter and a little jelly on his toast, and sat down at the table with his meal. He watched out the window as he ate out of sheer curiosity, and a little boredom
