You're good, take your time! I'm either going to use Anna or O'Hara… not sure yet. I feel like Anna would be better. I have her in the other rp with this plot lol

Lmao! Like I said, high fantasy to the core. Earth is minor in my multiverse, lol.

I’ve actually seen you use Farah in another rp, so I have a basic idea of what she’s like. (It’s the one with Fraust, where they’re playing a kitsune character. I forget the title).

And, she’s a ‘witch’, which is also perfect. In Mardicos’ world, all magicians were called witches. They’re very rare after, basically, a war wiped them and many magical creatures out. So yeah.

(OMG yes! I used a younger version of her in that rp, but I'm using her adult version for this one. Would you like to start, since it's your world we're "going" to?)

(Lol. Thumbs-up)

Mardicos limped through the trees. The full moon was bright above him, a curse upon his life. Though, not as much as before…

He growled, fighting to avoid those memories. He was too hurt, and too close to danger to get distracted now. Hopefully his claws had gotten through the thick fur of the male bear. Otherwise, he was shit out of luck.

And how the fuck was he supposed to know that he was walking into a bear den? Or that the moon would tempt him into utterly devouring one of the bear cubs? The scents were old, the most recent being bats, and that little one just snuck up on him. Damn it, sometimes he hated the wilderness.

Mardicos finally decided to rest on the thick buttress roots of an old oak. He was panting, both from exhaustion and blood loss. That male bear had scratched his side pretty good, and the mother bear had broken his hind leg beforehand. It would be several hours, at least, before he healed enough to properly flee.

Oh gods… shit… Farah cupped a hand over her mouth to hinder her shaky breathing. How did she end up in the same part of the woods as a werewolf?! She was hiding behind a tree so he couldn't see her, and her entire body trembled. She was a powerful fairy, sure, but powerful enough to stop a werewolf while it charged at her? She didn't want to find out. Slowly, she peeked out at him again, the light from the moon illuminating his features, and she stared for a moment before ducking back behind the tree.

As Mardicos lay there, he heard breathing nearby. His ears perked up, and he cautiously looked around. Nothing.

With a huff, he laid his head back down. He then shifted a bit to get more comfortable. A whine escaped him as he did so. The pain was almost mind-numbing, and the lack of feeling in his leg unnerved him. It had been decades since he had last had a broken limb.

After a moment, he tried to stand, stubbornly trying to resume his run. But, nothing cooperated. He was simply too weak… too exhausted… too drained from blood loss.

Eidna, my darling, will I be seeing you again after all these years?

Farah sensed strong thoughts coming from him, and before she could convince herself it was a bad idea, her eyes glowed their silver blue as she used her mind powers. Eidna? she wondered to herself. The queen? This isn't… no, it couldn't be… She peeked again, this time venturing a bit further out to get a clear view of the wounded creature. Oh gods, he was in pain. Serious pain. She wiggled her fingers as her power bloomed under her skin, but she wouldn't release it. She was hesitant to. As far as she knew, he didn't even know she was here yet. She realized she'd been peeking for far too long, and quickly, she ducked behind the tree. If he attacks me, I can take him, she told herself firmly. My magic is strong.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Eidna, my love, how I miss you. Although… am I talking to the horse or the bitch? I can’t tell anymore.

Mardicos snorted, mentally laughing at his own confused thoughts. It took him a long moment to realize that something was nearby. He turned to look, his head moving slow, almost as if immersed in molasses. Still nothing in sight.

He growled slightly, but it turned into another whine. Would he even last long enough to heal? Or would this, a surprise attack from a fucking bear, kill him? How fucking pitiful would that be, for him, a Midnight Wolf, to be killed by a creature he has hunted down and eaten plenty of times before?

Farah heard his growl, and her heart began to race. He was going to find her soon, and she'd rather be in control of the situation instead of him. Slowly, she took a step out from behind her tree. Her mind was already figuring out what to do if things went south.

I could reflect the moonlight into his eyes.

I could use a mix of fire and water to make stream so he can't see me.

I could make myself invisible with light magic.

She blinked quickly to clear her thoughts and took a few tentative steps towards him. "Hey," she whispered.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

The moment he heard someone speak, Mardicos lifted his head and barked. The sheer power in the deafening sound was enough to send any nearby creatures, including some resting birds, into a frenzy to run away.

Despite his bark though, Mardicos didn’t, couldn’t, move. He was dying. He wouldn’t deny it. But, at least this woman approaching him would know to tread carefully around him. If he could, he would rather die fighting.

Mardicos took a shaky deep breath, as deep a breath as he could in his weak state, and tried to stand. Only one of his front feet cooperated, and only for a moment, then he flopped back down onto the root. He resigned himself to glaring at the woman.

@emilyevewrites group

Farah blenched at the bark and nearly used a burst of her magic. However, she kept it contained and paid close attention to his body language and facial expressions. "It's alright," she said, keeping her voice soft and quiet. "I won't hurt you. I want to help." Her steps carried her close than she'd ever thought she'd get to a werewolf, and her fingers trembled with mixed anticipation and nerves.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Mardicos watched her closely, and snorted.

How in the fuck does this woman think she can help me? Shit, she better not be another of those shapeshifting witches… I miss that woman…

His thoughts drifted into memory, of the breif time he had known a nameless shapeshifting witch, and he momentarily forgot that he had company. He didn’t even realize that his eyes had closed, or that he was steadily dozing off.

@emilyevewrites group

As the wolf's eyes closed, it gave Farah time to observe his injuries. "You're really hurt, aren't you," she muttered quietly. She took careful steps towards him. She knew what he'd think of her if she healed him, but she could feel him dying. She had to help him. "I'm going to touch you," she murmured, her finger reaching slowly towards his massive pelt.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

Her words woke him slightly, and Mardicos noticed her proximity through squinting eyes. He barely registered her words at all. She seemed more like a dream than a reality.

His eyes drooped until they closed again. He shifted one of his huge paws, though in his mind, he was lying in a comfortable bed and had just stretched out an arm toward the gorgeous woman beside him. The image slowly faded as he dozed off again.
