In the beginning, the Oraclé of Esnah foretold of disastrous events that would eventually be the undoing of civilisation. As a result, the Goddess Eastoria took the constellations and gave them physical bodies in order to act as knights and guardians of the planet. All was going well until a corrupt king wanted to be given the gift of Cepheus.

Skip to the birth of a baby, and now a battle is about to take place between the remaining constellations.
Innocent ones are going to die…
Your characters are going to be thrown into this chaos, working on opposing sides.
@KhunAltrince_is_feeling_jolly, you will be on the side of Scorpius.
@SwimwithGamers, you will be on the side of Taurus.
You may think that each other's sides are the enemy, but use your brains a little. All is not what it seems.
I am going to warn you now that this is going to get rather gory. There won't be any smut because I already have too much of that XD

The Kingdom of Esnah– a country of wealth, prosperity, and dark legend. Its land was rich in horticulture and trading, the cities always full of live of both humans and… other creatures. The Ikaerah lived among the regular humans of the land, trying their best to blend in and avoid conflict, then there were the Muscia; a race of what could only be described as yin and yang personified. They resided in the lakes, rivers and ocean, playing tricks on anyone who dared venture into their domain, and helping those that found themselves lost. A lot of other types of creatures lived in Esnah, but none as interesting and as dangerous as the Constellations.

The Constellations were a group of elites, the gods and goddesses of the earthly realm. They were knights, lords and ladies of great power, and everyone knew of their existence. At least, everyone knew the 'Legend of The Constellations'.
In the temples in Southern Esnah, stories and lessons would be given to children of all races; stories of how the Constellations had protected the planet for centuries, and how the Goddess Eastoria was to eternally thank for giving them these protectors. At least one of the Constellations would oversee the lessons despite no one knowing who they really were.

The King of Esnah, Cephus, had heard the stories of these Constellations. He was merely a human and was in no way superior to the the Knights, even with the title of a King he knew that he couldn't command them as he would the rest of his subjects. He decided that he wanted the power these Knights had, and he wanted to be able to control–ahem, command–them too.

One fateful day, the King's wife–Cassia–gave birth to a daughter. They named her Andromeda. The entire land celebrated the birth of the child, most of the citizens praying that she would turn out to be a better ruler than her father. Everything was going well at the celebration until Cephus called upon the Goddess to request that he and his family be given the three Constellations of Ethiopia. The Goddess heard his request and decided that she would think about it.
The Constellations quickly heard of this, none of them being happy with what Cephus was doing for they knew exactly why he wanted the powers of those Constellations. Most of the Knights kept their opinions to themselves, while others were captured and enslaved by the King for speaking out against him, while one man… One sorcerer…

"The princess has been poisoned!"

As a professional mercenary, Irie didn’t have much knowledge about the ‘town’ he was assigned to. He was clueless about many things, only ever talking to the weaker people within the society. He made friends with some of them, even listening to their stories from now and then. It was all to kill time if anything. It would’ve sounded ridiculous but he quite enjoyed his time here. At least, that was what he could feel himself to be feeling. It was either a sense of enjoyment, or he’s just used to it.

The castle seems rather busy today… He’d thought to himself, seeing many people from many different ranks romaning around the royal areas. I wonder what’s going on…

Sometimes, the best way to be productive was just to not want to do anything at all. That was the point Ruby has come to, the notebook on her face deserved as she sat at the table, an intriguing game of solitaire her only way to ward off anyone who might think to disturb her. The deck was just one of the many rotating items she found in her position at any given time- she gave it a week before it was replaced with something else.
Ruby Sevens, the great adventurer, reduced once again to odd jobs and card games just to pay for her food.

The Lord of Water, a sienna skinned man who stood over six feet, with glistening turquoise eyes, rode on his Equa to the castle. His long black dreadlocks with gold woven throughout were covered by the hood of his cloak, and he kept his head low even after the guards had let him through into the throne room. In the corner of the room, a boy in his late teenage years with dark navy hair cradled a baby in is arms while feeding her a creamy pink substance from a bottle. The boy looked up slightly, his amber eyes glistening with tears as he met the eyes of the Lord. "He–"
"Eyes down boy!" The King ordered as he rose up from throne and made his way towards the hooded man. The look in his eyes showed no signs of kindness–and who could blame him, his daughter was severely sick–but he was also unaware that he was in the presence of a Constellation "Sir Rius, I trust you bring me good news."
The Lord looked at the monarch, keeping his hands by his sides rather than lowering the hood. "I have consulted the monks, they believe that the only way to cure the princess of her illness is to receive direct treatment from Aphus herself. The only issue is that no one has seen her since you banned the practicing of magic in the citadel."
A shadow crossed Cephus' eyes at the mention of Aphus, remembering what had happened that day. "No need to go to the witch… The royal physician will find a cure for her. You may leave now."
Before the Lord turned to leave, he caught a glimpse of a cage hanging in the corner filled with white birds. At the center of the cage sat a bird with sparkly emerald eyes, and she looked a lot sadder than the rest of them. "Yes sire." Rius bowed to the king, smiling sadly at the white bird and navy-haired boy before leaving the throne room.

As the doors closed, the Lord let out a sigh and briskly made his way out of the castle to the streets of the lower town. The people had quickly caught wind of the Princess falling ill but anyone caught talking about it while there were guards on patrol were instantly punished. Cephus' reign was nothing less than tyranny, even the Constellations knew that, but none of the Knights had been brave enough to show themselves in broad daylight since Aphus was banished.
"Let go of me!" A woman screamed, struggling against the hold of two guards as they restrained her. On the floor at her feet sat an overturned basket of flowers which she claimed to be for the Princess and Queen, but the guards claimed she was in the possession of dangerous herbs and plants that would harm the royal family even more. Rius marched over to them, sighing. "Unhand the woman, she has done no wrong."
"We are under orders from the King–" One guard began, but cut himself off as he caught a glimpse of the Lord's eyes. A shudder ran down his spine as he let go of the woman, and eventually the other guard let go of the woman. Rius knelt down and picked up the basket, salvaging what flowers he could and placing them back in the basket before handing it to the distraught woman, who thanked him profusely and made her way to the castle to deliver her gift. Things like this weren't common, where Rius would step in to help someone, but since Cephus and the guards were hurting innocent people it seemed like it was time to make his presence known again.

Along the roads within the country, the mercenary had been riding on his horse to a side of the country he had never visited. He had been hired by someone in exchange for what was a ‘payment for life’ and whatnot. He didn’t know what the payment was going to be, nor did he think such a thing existed but he didn’t dare question it. Not because he didn’t want to, but he didn’t want to risk himself being found out. As he arrived in what he could only assume to be the town in question, he got off his horse and started pulling it along instead of riding it. He was told to head into the city after he had found a hiding spot for himself which he quickly did after a quick glance around the area and finding some caves he could potentially use as a hideout.

Heading into town, he had been expecting the worst. An ambush, maybe. But he was more than thankful to know that it wasn’t an ambush and not anything dangerous. He, though, got looked at by a lot of the locals as he did look like a foreigner. Now, he had followed the address he was given to where his hirer should be at.

@The-Magician group

Among the people in the streets was a well-dressed woman who seemed to be just a little different from everyone else. She wore a long cloak with the hood raised, shielding her hair from view of people, but she wasn’t scared for everyone to see her face. It was, after all, her hair that identified her. Her facial structure inclined that she had some sort of oriental bloodline but her brilliant blue eyes offset it greatly.

She stood at a market stall, exchanging the coin in her purse for a paper bag of fresh bread, before turning and walking gracefully through the streets. The wind kissed her smiling cheeks, and as she glanced over her shoulder, that’s when she saw him. The man she had hired for support in the ordeal to come. Her eyes stood out like glistening sapphires in the sun and she made direct eye contact with him before turning to her front and continuing to walk through the streets.

@CasiCasino group

When the eye contact was made, the man’s instincts told him that she was the one who had hired him. Her expression showed as well. He then started to follow her, from a distance, that was. It would be unwise to get too close to her, especially as she seemed to be quite high in terms of social rankings. Who knew what would happen if he got into trouble for potentially getting too close.

As he continued to follow her, he realized that wherever she went, the wind would follow her every step. It was as if she had control over it. He would question it when the time was right, as for now, he was just following her silently.

@The-Magician group

The woman continued walking until she neared a grand house with supporting pillars all the way around the stone and brick walls. There was no door in the doorway so anyone could just walk in, but the gate and large towering hedges were enough to prevent intruders being unnoticed. Past the gate was a beautifully designed and well-groomed garden with plenty of flowers growing in terracotta pots and planters, and stone statues stood in various places with the largest—a woman with wing, seemingly an angel—stood in the centre.

The woman pushed the gate open, pausing for a moment a gust of wind washed over her and knocked her hood back to reveal her long, curly, pastel purple hair. With another glance over her shoulder, she smiled and spoke softly. “I do hope no one follows me inside.”
She made her way past the gate, closing it but leaving the latch unlocked.

@CasiCasino group

The man had heard her voice but he didn’t quite follow what she said. Seeing as the latch was not locked, he didn’t waste time to enter, making sure that his horse was outside and not going anywhere. He silently made his way into the areas of the house. Of course, as he had suspected, this was the house of a rather noble family… he followed the woman until he saw the door and stopped in his tracks, not wanting to enter until given permission, unlike when he was at the gates.

@The-Magician group

There was no sign of the woman at all. She had made her way inside the building as if she hadn’t even been followed and she didn’t make an appearance again. Instead, a tall man with dark eyes came to stand in the doorway. He has curly crimson locks that sat just below his shoulders, and a piercing expression that could only convey disgust.

He took a long drag from the pipe in his hand and blew an unusually large amount of smoke in Irie’s direction. “Are you sure he’s the one? He looks a little scrawny to me.”
A soft chuckle floated through the breeze before a pair of hands found either side of Irie’s head from the back. “Oh,” the woman’s voice spoke softly, “He is the one.”

@CasiCasino group

Irie had not responded to the smoke being blown into his direction for he just sighed under his mask before taking off along with lowering his hood. He shook his head a bit, letting his hair fall naturally before he looked back up at the man in front of him. “Call me whatever you want, I’m just here to know what I’ve been called to do,” the man spoke, feeling the warmth from the woman’s hands on either side of his head. He could feel the power both of the people around him had, but he wasn’t afraid. He, too, was a feared and respected figure after all.

@The-Magician group

“You shall know momentarily.” The woman let go of him, seemingly vanishing into thin air as she did so, before appearing in front of him and offering out her hand. “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, I assume you know who I am?”
“Sagittarius.” The man in the doorway spoke in a warning tone as if reminding her to be careful. To this, she shook her head softly and continued to politely smile at Irie. “Pay no heed to Fornax, he has never much liked those of godly descent, or human descent for that matter.”

@CasiCasino group

The man nodded and sighed softly under his breath. “Sagittarius, such a weird name you have,” he spoke as he shook her hand, gently smiling at her. “I am Irie Crowley, a pleasure to meet you,” he said before looking up at her. “So, I’ve been called, by you was it? Could I get a brief synopsis of the situation at hand before we talk about price and objective?” He asked with a rather gentle grin.

@The-Magician group

The lady raised an eyebrow as she drew her hand back, staring at it in confusion. “You claim I have a ‘weird’ name and yet you shake the hand of a lady as you would the hand of a gentleman. How peculiar.”
Fornax made his way over to her, keeping to the paved slabs as far away from the plants as possible. “We had best go inside, it isn’t safe to talk so openly about our plan.”
With a firm nod, Sagittarius and Fornax turned and escorted Irie inside.

“We have much to discuss, Sir Crowley.” Sagittarius spoke softly, glancing over her shoulder when the man had followed them inside. The noble two took Irie to a room with a round, polished oak table and chairs, and paintings of various people and sceneries hung on the walls. The room overlooked the front garden, so Fornax stood and stared out of the window while Sagittarius sat at the table. “I have no doubt in your abilities as a mercenary however it would be wrong not to question what you know about the Legend of the Constellations.”

@CasiCasino group

The mercenary sat down not too far away from Sagittarius and sighed softly before shaking his head. “I’m afraid I don’t know too much about them. All I know is that they do exist and that I don’t know about all of them,” he spoke before looking at the Lady. “I will not say I’m not interested to learn more about them though,”

@The-Magician group

“It all began when the Oraclé foretold events of mankind’s own destruction. Terrible wars that would leave countries and empires in ruins. In order to ensure that mankind would forever prosper, the Goddess of night—Eastoria—looked to the stars in the sky and gave the Constellations a purpose. The Constellations became protectors and warriors of the Earth for all the people who exist here.”

Sagittarius smiled as she rose from her seat and approached a large chest of rolled up scrolls by the window Fornax was stood at. She picked a couple out and unfurled them on the table, weighing the corners down with stones. The scrolls depicted drawings of the stars in the sky with lines joining them up to form the Constellations. “Many civilisations have given them different names, many have merged and separated Constellations in order to create ‘new’ beings— one that immediately comes to mind is the merging of Orion and Lepes which the Egyptians call their God, Sah. I digress.” The lady sat down in her chair again and smiled politely. “The Constellations are revered as Gods among humans, and they have great power that one particular man wants for himself.”
Fornax made a sound of disgust, but didn’t speak a word.
“Cephus,” Sagittarius continued. “Cephus is the self-proclaimed king of this land after he ‘conquered’ it nineteen years ago, and he has brought nothing but grief to the people of Esnah. He rules with an iron fist and would rather gain respect through fear rather than by treating the citizens with kindness and compassion. When he learned the true meaning of why the Constellations exist, he wanted to control them like he does the ordinary folk. The only issue is that he is but a mere human and holds no amount of power over them. As a result of this, he made a plea to the Goddess Eastoria asking that he and his wife and daughter be given the power of Cepheus, Cassiopeia, and Andromeda.”

@CasiCasino group

The man listened to the story before chewing his cheek. “Are you saying that this Cephus person is who my target is?” He asked with a slight tilt of his head. “Or are you suggesting something more… sinister. Attacking his family instead of him, I mean,” he asked with a gentle grin. “Though I suppose that is a bit merciless, isn’t it?” He asked with a soft sigh, looking drawings on the table.

@The-Magician group

“Your target is not the royal family,” Fornax spoke, looking over from the window. “Someone has already poisoned the king’s daughter.”
“I still think it ought to have been Cephus that was poisoned.” Sagittarius sighed, looking down at her hands on the table. “Harming a baby doesn’t sit well with me.” She looked back up at Irie and cleared her throat. “Your target is a Constellation. Aphus, the Bird of Paradise and Sorceress of Medicine. We need her on our side to prevent her from healing Andromeda, and you will not be the only one searching for her. Every Constellation will be on the lookout for her, all with the intention that she join their side. Persuade her to join our cause, if she does not then your orders are to kill her.”

@CasiCasino group

The man raised a brow before nodding and tilting his head slightly. “What is my reward for doing so?” He asked with a small look of confusion. This was not a task he was expecting to get, especially not from a place like this. “I have to know before I start running into troubles without know what it will cause of me,” he said with an uninterested tone, despite dying to know what he would get.
