Kaysen groaned, feeling like every bone in his body weighed a ton. He opened his eyes to the bright sky and the breeze brushing lightly against his face. He sat up, and saw that he was in a field with wildflowers and a tiny tree here or there. Bees and other such insects were busy around him, but that didn't answer his persisting question nagging the back of his mind.

Where am I?

I studied the young boy in front of me, my hand lightly touching my sword, ready to draw it at a moments notice. He seemed to be around twenty, with black and turquoise hair. My light grip on my sword tightened as I spoke. "Who are you?"

(I'm writing in third person, but I can change it if i need to)

Kaysen jumped at the sound of a woman's voice, and leapt to his feet when he saw her standing before him. How did he miss that? Did she just appear? He tensed, listening for what was only a heartbeat.

The sound of rushing water; a river, by his guess. Perfect.

"Kaysen." He replied slowly to her threatening question, "Who are you?"

Nadine raised an eyebrow at the boy.
"Do you not know your queen? Or perhaps are you another one of those spies from another planet?"
She lifted her long blue skirt, which dragged against the prickly grass. She should have worn better clothing, her thick skirts left her weaker. Yet she was the one with the sword.
"What are your intentions, boy?" She inquired, her voice lined with gentle suspicion.

"Queen?" Kaysen studied the woman with curiosity. Obviously he was on her turf and not in Fable World like he had thought. Tipical. The poor boy was always finding himself in other worlds.
"I'm not a spy," he said slowly, his hands showing he had nothing to defend himself with. Except the water– but she had no idea what he was capable of. But the knowledge went both ways. She could ruin him before he had a chance.
"My intentions are innocent; I'd only just woken up a few minutes ago. As a matter of fact, I'm not entirely sure where I am. But since you're the queen around here, I was hoping you'd be able to tell me."

Nadine raised an eyebrow. Perhaps he was being honest, his accent wasn't like that of her rivals, nor did he dress like them. But there was something off on his expression; she couldn't place it. She didn't question his sudden appearance, knowing vaguely of otherworldly powers existing, but she wanted to know how he had arrived there. But how could he not recognize her? How little did he know?
"Since it seems clear you are not from here I will explain," She said.
"You are on Chatoyant, in Hiraeth." She opened her mouth to explain further, hesitated. She stared at the boy once more.
"How did you get here?" She questioned.

Kaysen didn't understand any of the words he was telling her, let alone recognized the place she described. He resisted the urge to sigh angrily so as not to give the wrong impression to the queen.
"Chatoyant," he pronounced slowly, "It's not familiar…" He wanted to fidget or shift his weight but any slight movement made him believe the woman would react, "I don't know the details of how I got here, but my best guess is teleportation… across dimensions."
