(Yee, I'll get the reply)

Matthew turned, watching Dominic go.
"I wouldn't go that way if I were you!" He called out gently. "Unless you can fly, of course. It's not very safe for those that can't."

@Calanthe

Dominic sighed and turned around, "Do you have any better ideas? I'm lost in who know's where land, and I want to find my way back to my home, do you think that just waiting for my home to come back to me will fix things?"

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"Well, from what you've said, it's likely you're not from this world, proud, so you'll have to go to a specialist to get you back. And it would be hard to do that if you've fallen into a ravine." Matthew stepped after Dominic.
"You know, I could always help if you want."

@Calanthe

"R-really?" Dominic crossed his arms and stared up at the man's face, he seemed to be honest, or at least a little bit trustworthy, "Wait, ravine? Why would there just be a ravine with no bridge or anything to stop anyone from falling into it?" He was sort of panicking again, "I d-don't understand. . . ." Now he was nearly hyperventilating, "This place just seems extremely dangerous, and I'm going to friggen die."

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"There isn't a bed for one. Everyone around here has wings, so we just fly over." Matthew reached out now, carefully putting his hands on the short man's shoulders.
"You won't die here, okay? I'll stick around to keep you safe. Breath…"

@Calanthe

Dominic smiled a little at that, "Must be nice," his voice was still shaky as he tried to compose himself, "I mean, to be able to fly and such." His smile grew at the thought of that, then a frown replaced that,I'll have to figure out someway to travel around here, and to maybe find a way out. "Oh, uhm, I don't think I-I'll need someone to keep me s-safe, but I appreciate it. By the way, I'm Dominic, although I probably already said that to you."

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"My name is Matthew," the avian introduced gently. "And I still think it would be a good idea for me to travel with you. You'll need someone to help you over the ravine." He smiled softly, taking his hands off Dominic.

@Calanthe

"T-thanks, but no really, I'm sure I'll be alright, I can figure something out, I wouldn't want to impose too much on you at all." The other person seemed genuine, but Dominic wasn't quite sure, yet. "I do appreciate the offer though."

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"Are you sure?" Matthew assured. "If you go the other way, the closest city is over a month's journey away, and that's by flying. If you go over the ravine, it's only a few days. It wouldn't be imposing at all."

@Calanthe

As he listened to the what Matthew was talking about, Dominic's jaw started to drop, "I, uhm, I. . ." He wasn't sure how to respond to that, "Well, I-I… I don't know, and I might sound as though I've lost it, but I just don't know what to do right now. Maybe, I guess, maybe it's best if I remain with you for now."

@Calanthe

Dominic stared at the man's hand for a second, as if he wasn't entirely sure what to do with it, then took it, "Uhm, thank you, I'm sorry for being, well so awkward about this, I'm just well, an awkward person."

@Calanthe

"I should be fine, in fact, I sort of like them, I know most people are terrified by them, terrified of falling from a height space, but that doesn't bother me too much." He looked around a bit taking in the lush greenery of the forest, "It's gorgeous here." He murmured softly, then topped in front of a purple coloured flower, "What type of plant is this?"

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"Hm?" Matthew looked at the flower carefully, then smiled a bit.
"We can them the moon dancers. When they get hit with moonlight, the flowers lift off, spinning through the air to find a new place to root."

@Calanthe

"Oh, that sounds so cool." He gently plucked one of the flowers off of the bush so he could examine it more closely, "We have nothing like this back where I am from." He continued to gawk at the flowers for a few more seconds then followed after Matthew through the rest of the forest until they reached a large village, "Is this where you live?"

@ElderGodSwimwithGamers group

"Yes, it is." The buildings looked like giant nests, resting in trees or suspended on poles.
"Here, I'll take you to my house." Matthew wrapped his arms around Dominic, holding him close and spreading his wings before taking off.

@Calanthe

Although Dominic was quite used to heights, he was not at all used to having another put his hands on him like that, and a a light blush formed on his cheeks, "T-thanks." He mumbledwhen Matthew put him down, "This is pretty nice." Then, he looked down, not that it height bothered him again, but how would he get down, other than being carried?

@Calanthe

"What? How? Oh my gosh?" He didn't understand this place, bird people, cat sized griffens? Purple plants that reacted to the moon? Well the later probably existed in his universe, "What's their name?" He mumbled once he got his composure back,

@Calanthe

"Oh, he seems sweet." He said as he moved inside the home towards the two, "Why not?" He tentively reached out and gently stroked the griffin's head, "He reminds me of my neighbours cat, Hamilton." He said with a smile, "He was such a sweetheart."
