Alchemy

A type of magic that involves using the inherent magical properties of nature. Many plants, fungi, animals, etc. have Magical Energy stored within them, and materials extracted from them can be mixed or otherwise manipulated to create all sorts of magical substances. Examples include healing salves, supernatural poisons, elemental bombs, and transformative potions.

Alchemy is an entirely different way of thinking about magic and is rarely used by Humans. It typically doesn't require inherent magical ability, but a skilled alchemist must always be patient and precise with their measurements to ensure their mixtures have the right effect. It also requires significantly more knowledge ahead of time than spells of traditional Elemental Energy, as it's often difficult to tell what magical traits a substance has with the naked eye.
