Bending

The ability to control one of the four elements.

Bending

Bending is done through gestures like a martial art or a dance.

Can control a certain element and whatever falls under that category.

Can be used to create or destroy structures of that element, move it, shape it, etc.

Water, Earth, Fire, Air

Movement is similar to martial arts or dancing, so physical fitness is required for endurance.

Limited by volume. Dragons can move vast quantities of their element, while Half-Dragons are severely limited by comparison. An example of this is Gawain being able to move mountains while his Half-Dragon son, Yama, can move a boulder the size of a small house.

Humans cannot be born with Bending, but they can be born with Animus, while dragons can have both.
