Shamanism (a form of Nature worship that is part supernatural and part science) is the main form of religion in Aelfthorne, which has no state religion, only majority and minority practices.

Phantasmie is another popular form of folk-religion, which involves divination and speaking to spirits of the dead. It is an expression of Death worship, and Death occasionally pays her worshippers personal visits.

Faerie Worship occurs in Aelfthorne as a darker side of Phantasmie (Dark Fae Worship, which involves vengeance, curses and blood rites) and Shamanism (Elemental Fae Worship). It can result in human-faerie hybrids and people being given 'Gifts' or certain abilities by the Fae. It usually comes at a high price, and is greatly feared, but skilled practitioners are sought out in times of crisis as a last resort.
