The Yuransic Wastelands

Yuransia was sparsely habited until roughly 200 years from the present era, when Qerenian trade began expanding it's reach west, and the Tu'leren Conquests started.

Yuransia is a country built upon war and bloodshed, it's land harsh and unyeilding, having some of the tallest mountains in the world and ranking second in the world for having the coldest temperatures.

Pre-colonialism, Yuransia was primarily populated by many small disconnected tribes. These tribes were hunters, herders of elk, gathers, and warriors, constantly warring with each other over their minimal resources. Farming was hard, and near impossible in certain areas, only some coastal areas suitable enough to yield crop.

200 years ago, the Tu'leren conquests were held under the leadership of the Ignacito tribe. Thousands sailed North to Yuransia and began creating settlements. These settlements were comprised of many Tu'lerenic peoples, Qerenian traders, and Native Yuransic peoples. Many kingdoms were erected under the juristicion of the Tu'lerenic kingdom. These kingdoms forcefully took over the land of the Tribal Yuransic, and pushed them into the mountains, taking what little habitable land there was to modernize farming. Tu'leren conquests brought bronze, iron, seafaring, and religion with them. The Tribal Yursanic people groups, who were intially pantheistic, were forced into the monotheistic religion of the Tu'leren people. However, the Tu'leren kingdoms were able to mine massive silver deposits under the mountains, bringing the country significant Qerenian trade.

To this day, Tu'leren cultural influences are strong within Yuransia. Few tribal communities remain. Despite this, Yursania is still allied with Tu'leren, but remains an independant country. Yuransia remains rather underdeveloped opposed to its Eastern neighbor, and refuses co-operation with NNC and Neverni.
