hi guys i'm trying so hard to work on the stuff i actually need to work on but i need to get through this brick wall by writing a random story because I have so many vague ideas floating around in my head but i can't shape them into anything useful so i need a random prompt from someone Outside of my brain so that i can write a random short story and get out of the mud i'm stuck in !!

Hooo boi I'm not exactly a comedy author but I will do my best! I'll use my own OCs as well

To be fair, no one actually expected the egg to explode, Jesse just thought the idea of microwaving a raw egg sounded fun, and there was no way Astrid would back down from a dare. Of course, she started with a harmless two minutes, but Jesse's challenging voice raised the stakes.
"You coward!" He bellowed, with a growing smile, "Ten minutes!"
Roger's eyes widened in shock at Jesse's addition to the dare.
"That's way too long. That'll damage the microwave."
Jesse foolishly waved Roger off as the sound of the microwave's button beeping resonated from the kitchen.
"One ten minute session won't break the microwave forever." Jesse reassured Roger, but his anxiety did not settle.
"Okay, I'm pressing start!" Astrid called out from the kitchen as the others stood behind the bar in anticipation. The uneventful two minutes caused Jesse and Astrid to lose interest, but Eddie, who'd already looked up the possible outcomes, had his phone's camera ready. Jesse and Astrid began discussing what their dare against Roger would be, when it happened. It was as if everything occurred in slow motion. The sound of the egg exploding caused Astrid to jump, but Jesse didn't notice until the egg whites hit his face. Roger, already furious, turned to Jesse, egg yolk dripping from his shoulder as he began scolding Jesse. Astrid, though nervous, began laughing hysterically as Eddie only moved closer to the microwave to get the specifics of just how much egg managed to cover the radius of the microwave, which was now beeping confusedly.l

i'm still accepting prompts! that was a good exercise but i'm hoping to keep going!! i do like more vague prompts bc it gives me more room, but i enjoy staying true to a detailed prompt, so you can decide how you'd like to challenge me!

Dang that was great! Hope I helped with your uh- getting out of metaphorical mud!

Thank you! I'd like to think that you did, bc it got me into the actual working and writing mood!

Here are a few:

  1. “Come on, fight it!” He yells but it’s no use.
    She’s already gone.

  2. A sob built up in my throat. I choked it back, struggling against my binds.
Then a scream came from behind the door.

  3. "Three, two, one." The crowd chants. They cheer as the ball drops, welcoming the new year.
Name smiles, bringing a little more warmth to the happiness around him. Then something strange happens. The cold, windy air suddenly stills.
    And the world explodes.
