Vesper eyes the vampire, trying to see if he should trust him. There hadn't been any blood anywhere, and no corpses so far as he could tell. It seems this one really was just tired of being trapped. Which… Vesper could relate to. He feels a pang of guilt for making him suffer the same as Vesper had so many years ago. "Alright then." He considered being a bit of an ass about it, but decides to give the guy a break. He snaps his fingers and lets the magic sustaining the barrier fade away. There's an audible noise as the magic dissipates. ".. Sorry. You're probably right that I shouldn't leave these things unwatched." He says apologetically, if a little awkwardly.
Avdey takes a deep breath, feeling the presses lift off his chest. It felt good to have the sense of freedom again. The ability to come and go as he could. He was a free spirit and a wanderer, and being trapped here for five centuries was. . . A large toll on him.
Though he was sure things were different these days than they had been when he was last free, he knew he could adapt. Though he wasn’t sure if he could do it on his own. His gaze settles on the man before him, crossing his arms, “I want retribution.”
Vesper peers over at the vampire. "Retribution? I'm not going to let you kill me in revenge, and I'd say I've done my due diligence in undoing the seal on the library. Or do you mean something else?" He slides the book back onto the bookshelf, giving the Vampire his full attention.
Avdey huffs, “I don’t want to kill you. I’m not a monster.” He crosses his arms.
“I want you to teach me they ways of the modern world. I’m sure a lot has happened in the past five centuries.”
He stares at the man before him, assessing him for a long moment.
"Hm. Interesting…." Vesper eyes the vampire one last time. "I suppose I could do that. I've done plenty of traveling, so I'd be well qualified. But first- What's your name? I can't just call you 'vampire' the whole time on this proposed world tour."
Avdey stares at the other before him. Names were a powerful thing and Avdey wasn't about to throw even just his first name out at the man. He sighs and crosses his arms, "It's Robin." He grins, flashing fangs for a moment before staring at the man before him.
"What's yours?" He asks tilting his head to the side slightly.
Vesper answers without considering, "It's Vesper. Pleasure to meet you ….Robin. Were you just named after the bird, or is that a family name?"
