Alex jumped out the car, ready to go play with the lizards

"Maybe you should hurry up!" She said running to the door

Neva ran to catch alex

Alex giggled and waited for neva to get to the door

Neva giggled, leading alex to the animals while she tented to the sicker ones

Alex walked over to a crate with a small dog in it and sat down" hey buddy what's going on hm?"

" darling.. He's deaf"

"He's cute, When are the animals available for adoption?"

" anytime just the lizards need papers"

"Would you be mad if we got a dog?" She said smirking

" nope"

"I kind of like this one."

" you want the paper?"

Alex looked at the old dog laying in it's bed " yeah if you're okay with it." She said smiling at the dog

Neva smiled and got the papers " you ready to come home Brutus?"

Alex squealed happily hugging neva "thank you thank thank you!"

"Hell have to stay in here until we go home won't he?" She asked her smile not leaving her face

" yes but he's all your to play with and get his things"

" arthritis, he's deaf and blind in his right eye. Poor thing is a military vet."

"Ya know that could very easily happen to me if I get deployed again." She said looking up at neva
