"well, lets say you were shooting something, and you lost your footing, and ended up killing someone you care about." He shrugged, pushing open the door, the shelves were empty, save for the top ones, as he had raided the store, but failed to find a stool or ladder.
Felix chuckled, grabbing the man at his sides and lifting him onto his shoulders “promise I won’t drop if you don’t squirm
Casey went to say something smart, but the words died in his mouth. He looked around the shelf, throwing the junk onto the floor, and putting anything useful in his bag.
Felix sighed “ so, what’s your plans for all this?”
"for what? I already told you I am making a radio system that will use a satellite" He said, slamming something onto the shelf to break it apart then putting a small peice in his bag.
“ I get that but I doubt it’ll work.” He said a little hopeless “ no one’s going to save us”
"im not looking to be saved" he laughed, "besides, I plan to do a big as broadcast like, 'is anyone alive?' or something like that, just because .. well.. I like people…um… you can put me down now"
“ yah,” he said and lowered the man
He stretched and started looking around the floor at the stuff he threw, picking up any screws or bits he could use. "aaand I think thats good, thanks brocoli."
“ why broccoli?” He asked and tilted his head
"cause, your tall like a tree, and broccoli looks like a tree. And its original" He shrugged.
He laughed softly “ so, how long you been here?”
"Forever? well not really but, since the world went dead" he shrugged, walking out of the store.
“Wow. “ he said softly and followed
"wow? why wow?" he locked the door behind them
“ I have only been here a month and almost got killed “
"yeah, you are obviously not good at surviving" he joked, leading them back to the building.
“ Thanks?” he tilted his head before chuckling
He went back to his room, locking the door once they both entered and went to the desk, practically dumping his bag onto it.
“ need anything?” he asked as he went through his own bag
"meh" he shrugged, and started humming as he quickly dis-assembled the car radio and put it back together with the pieces he had from the bag.
“ no drinks? I picked up a few,”
"drinks?" he turned to him, setting the radio down. "what kind of drinks?"
“ like flavored water, energy drinks, a couple of cans of pop.”
"oh, that is…so lame" he rolled his eyes, turning on his computer, which brought up a loading screen, that showed it had about 12% and 50 hours remaining. He sighed.
“Hacking? “ he asked with little to no knowledge of computers
"into the satellite, its been loading for weeks, the time it says is a LIE." he threw a piece of plastic at the screen. "I did the coding perfectly, even sent it to a lot of different ones to make sure it worked. Still nothing."
Felix nodded, walking over to the kid “tell me about it,”
"how old are you?" he asked, glancing at Felix.
“21 I think, lost track once the world ended “
