Farah pushed herself up and walked over to her desk. "Don't be."

saul sighed and followed her

Farah seated herself behind the desk, and she took up the position nicely. But she still looked like a young woman forced to grow up too fast. "Can I help you?" she asked, looking up at him.

" yes," he said and crouched infron of her desk, laying his chin on hr desk

Her gaze followed him down as he crouched, and she arched an eyebrow. "Well?"

" can you help me understand why you wont love on me?"

Farah sighed. "I told you, Saul, I have to settle Alfea first. Tonight. I promise."

"fine." he said and discreetly rolled his eyes

Farah noted the motion. "Oh gods, you're really desperate, aren't you?"

"no. i just want to see you smile, actually smile."

Farah shook her head slowly. "I'm not sure when that will happen again," she truthfully admitted.

saul stood an sighed. " just.. keep your promise." he said as he turned to walk out

Farah watched him go. Her heart ached, but she knew it was for the best.

saul went to his room and laid down for the day, not really seeing a reason to get up

Farah continued to work until the sun sank low in the sky. She just finished her last paper for the day when she glanced at the time and realized she was supposed to meet Saul in ten minutes. She quickly organized everything one last time and sprinted through the halls to reach his room.

saul was playing on his phone, looking up when farah entered. " there a choas of students outside or did you just run all the way here?"

She looked embarrassed. "I ran. I didn't want to be late."

" i would have been fine had you'd been late"

"I wanted to keep my promise." Farah stepped into the room, shutting the door behind her and placing a silencing spell up in preparation. "I still care about you, Saul."

he didn't look up at her, " i know." he said simply

Farah slowly approached him and sat beside him. "Are you cross with me?"

"no, im just busy at the moment.."

"Doing what?" she asked, finally allowing herself to rest as she leaned against him.

“ just reading,” he said and wrapped his arm around her

"What are you reading?" she asked, sliding a hand onto his thigh, just above his knee.

Saul looked over at her and back to his phone “ just a teaching guide”

"Mmm," she hummed, kissing his cheek softly.

Saul turned to look at her “ ya missed,” he said cockily

She arched her eyebrows. "Oh?"
