Riley: We don't actually have a sun and moon down here. So it's an illusion. Night, day, blah, blah. The schedules are different so sometimes the Nightmarish and Dreamweavers get a huge night of food, and then some nights with barely any time. Makes it harder for things to be stolen, people to escape, etc, etc. Some species are only allowed out at night, and some - freshly dead people like yourselves in particular - aren't supposed to go out at night at least for the first little while, for your own safety.
Riley: Your memories, pain, energy and emotions are still too fresh. Too tempting for some species. And you can't die, so they can take all they want. Hurt you all they want. And leave you. And come back for more whenever they feel like it.
Riley: Have a cookie.

Riley: Sun and moon do not exist down here. They are illusions. Night and day last for different lengths every day, to keep people on their toes. Tonight lasts fourteen hours. Tomorrow is seven. The nights are longer and shorter for the species that live down here too, that are far less pleasant than those you see in daylight. Generally, unless you can handle it, you don't go out at night. And you especially, you and Addic, do not go out. Your memories and feelings and pain are still so fresh, so tempting. And you're already dead. So they can hurt you all they want, take all they want from you. Torture you, steal your memories, give you horrible nightmares. It'll hurt. But you'll survive, and heal. And they can come back and do it again.
Riley: So you don't go out at night. If you want, Corrin can explain in detail why you don't, what will happen and the laws at night.

Nori: I DO know what it means, I just really don't want to tell you.
Nori:… so like minecraft, right? I can't go out at night or else its 'creeper, aw man' for me?

Addic:… what's minecraft?

Corrin: No. Yes. What's minecraft? After a couple nights, it'll wear off. You'll be deader than you were, and a lot less of a target. But for now, yes, it's aw man for you.

Nori: NO! After this you are all coming over and we'll listen to terrible minecraft parody songs whiLE MINING LIKE OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT!!
