A writer in the city (my character) has her life put together – in her eyes. She wakes up, gets dressed, heads to the coffee shop next to her apartment, and she drinks coffee and writes until inspiration leaves. Then, she walks behind the counter and starts serving the coffee since, conveniently, she owns the place. After closing, she makes the short walk back, sits down in her living room, and falls headfirst into her favorite show until she goes to bed. Her best friend tries to convince her that what she's doing isn't living her life, but she refuses to listen. In her eyes, her routine is structured. Her routine keeps her grounded. But most importantly, her routine keeps her safe.

This writer puts on the page the romances she can't live in real life, and because of many previous failed relationships, she has given up hope of trying. Will anyone change her mind? ;)

@Fenrir

(hello! This seems really cute! I'm definitely interested in joining but I won't be able to answer till morning.)

@Fenrir

(hello hello! Sorry for the wait! Here is a writing same from one of my other RPS, hope thats ok!)

Faybian stalked the streets of the city, hands fidgeting at his side, the urge to strangle, main, or kill something. He wanted to erase that warm, fuzzy, human feeling that lingered in his chest. He had half the thought to go back and kill Alexander but that would sully his hellish title. Only desperate, incompetent should would be so shallow minded to kill their own contracted. Faybian wouldn't stoop that low, at least not yet. He could get through this, would get through this. Without strings attached. He turned a corner and made his way into an ally way, glaring as beggars and miscrients scuttled away from what they knew was inhuman.thoygh one did try to reach out to him. Faybian paused, staring at the hand outstretched towards him, mind flashing back to Alexanders for a moment.
"Our Lord is back, The fallen angel is here," the man declared, voice scratchy and worn with years if smoking. Faybian fully turned towards him and crouched down, a slow smile slithering across his lips, almost charmingly handsome if it weren't for the promised death in his eyes. "No, dear soul. Unfortunately I'm not who you think I am. Close, but Luc is far superior to me. If you'd like, I can help you meet him." He purred, suddenly grasping the man's forearm, watching as the man struggled to be set free. That did nothing as the human in Faybian's grasp started to rot and smoke, the fines rising from the corpse far too sweet to be natural. Faybian slowly let go and stood, continuing his walk down the alley, not even giving the now dead man a second look.

(Well, my character is trying to avoid falling in love, essentially, because of things that happened in her past with previous boyfriends. She wants to love but doesn't want to be hurt, and I'm thinking after a few meetings with your character, she realizes she's starting to have feelings for them, and so she tries to push them away, but they obviously end up together. What do you think?)

@Fenrir

(ah ok sounds good! I was maybe thinking of going with a soft goth character that's new in town or something? Would that be alright?)

Name: Eve Springett
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight (or so she thinks)
Occupation: Writer/Barista
Appearance: Dark brown eyes, ash blonde hair, 5’ 4”, and light, but appealing makeup. She wears t-shirts, jean jackets, and leggings as her almost everyday attire. It’s a part of her morning routine.
Personality: She uses shyness to mask her naturally bubbly and outgoing personality. It didn’t do her any good before, why would it now? *As the rp goes on, she will seem to change as a character personality-wise, but she’s really just letting her mask slide and her real personality is showing.
Backstory: Your character will discover more as the rp goes on, but basically, she had a lot of toxic ex-boyfriends in the past, and she basically turned to journaling and writing out her feelings, and that’s how she became a writer. Not an author yet, but she is working on that ;)
Theme Song: What A Time - Julia Michaels (feat. Niall Horan) | Alone, Pt. II - Alan Walker, Ava Max | Honey and glass - Peyton Cardoza

@Fenrir

Name: Selene Jensen

Her usual attire are button down shirt and paired with huge sweaters overtop. She also wears Skinny ripped jeans and sometimes skirt if she feels in the mood for it.
Personality: Selene isnt the life of the party, she just isn't. Her appearance has made her the center of attention ever since highschool so as an adult shes decidedly to stay in the shadows. She loves being around people though, and finds being with friends and family she loves as a comfort. When alone, she enjoys the company of her cat and the book shop. She's kind and, once you get past her shy boundaries, she's genuinely a person people want to spend more time around
Backstory: Selene just moved from a large city she had stayed ever since childhood to this little town. Not much to he childhood, great mom, dad had been out of the picture ever since middle school. Bullying in highschool was a given but she got through mostly okay. Not as many relationships as other character but she didn't feel all that comfortable in any of them, whether it was based on apposing interests or how they handled their emotions and thoughts around the other individual

It was just another day in the city. Cars, buses, taxis, and bikes all crowded the roads, and hordes of people paced the sidewalks. Eve Springett watched it all through the window from her seat in All-City Coffee with her laptop open and an iced caramel latte inches from her fingertips. The rising sun warmed her dark brown eyes, and she rested her chin on her fist, lost in thought. A pair of thin, tortoiseshell glasses was perched on her hair, and a small smile painted her lips.

@Fenrir

(ooh ok!)
Selene jogged across the street, waving in thanks to the car who had let he pass. She pulled open the door and reveled for a moment in the rush of warmth a scent of coffee in the air. She smiled at the cashier behind the counter and stepped in line, bouncing a bit in place to shake the cold from her best. While it wasn't freezing outside, there still was an autumn chill. She scanned the little cafe as she waited, glad to find it surprisingly empty for the morning. She turned back around once it was her turn and ordered a mocha with cinnamon as well as a square if coffee cake. Once the order was placed, Selene found a seat in the corner by the window to wait, doodling in a small sketchbook she often times brought with her

Eve's head didn't move, but her eyes followed the paths of cars down the street. Her expression softened as a cab stopped outside the café and a man got out. He then circled around the car, opened the door, and extended his hand to guide a woman to her feet. The man put his arm around the woman, and the couple walked off. Eve sighed quietly as they left her line of sight, and she wrapped her fingers around her coffee to bring it to her lips. As she took a long sip, she noticed the woman sitting down in the corner. It was a seat close enough to Eve that when she placed her cup back down, she glanced over to take in the new woman's appearance. Who knew – maybe she would give Eve much-needed inspiration for a new character.

@Fenrir

(still here! Sorry for the wait!)
"Selene?"
The girl glanced up and scurried to pick up her order from the side counter. She thanked the cashier and dropped a tip into the jar before going back to her seat and went back to her doodling, head bowed close to the page as she fell back into the rythm of scratching the pen against the paper. She occasionally took a sip of her drink or a bite of her cake but other than that her movement was limited, not wanting to seem nosy to those around her. She hummed under her breath and ran a hand through her colorful hair, a small smile crossing her features as she shut her notebook, satisfied with the drawing for now. She leaned back in her chair and glanced out the window to the book shop across the street.

(You're good!)

It took Eve a few extra moments of watching the girl – Selene – to realize that she'd been looking for longer than what would be necessary. Her eyes quickly darted back to her computer. A single blank document was open on the screen, enticing her and taunting her at the same time. Her lips pursed as she reached anywhere for a story starter. Her imagination mapped out plotline after plotline, but her rationale was quick to point out flaws in each. Eventually, she sighed, shut the laptop, and resigned to continue people-watching.

Just as Eve was beginning to follow a seemingly interesting conversation between a cyclist and a pedestrian, one of the two baristas working called her. "Eve, would you like a refill?"

Eve turned to see it was her friend Katherine who had asked, and her lips bore a smile. While she was nearly done with the contents of her cup, she also knew that another cup of coffee would do her no good at this moment. "No, thank you, darling," Eve replied, lifting her cup in a toasting motion. "Cheers," she said before taking a long sip to down the rest of the liquid.

Selene scanned the cafe with a small smile, catching another girl's gaze for a quick moment. She blushed, embarrassed at being caught watching and quickly gave a small wave and shy smile, but the other girl had turned away by then. Selene bit her lip slightly and took a sip of her drink, gaze snapping up.omce again to the cafe around her as a question was asked. She looked at the girl a few tables away from her and blinked, tucking the name in her memory. Eve. A simple but pretty name. A brief smile crossed her features as she tok a short sip of her still hot coco, muttering a 'cheers' below her breath. She unfurled herself from her small booth and grabbed her notebook, holding her drink and a page in her hand as she stood up and headed towards the door. She gave a small wave to the cashier behind the counter before passing the girl's, Eve's, table setting down the the ink drawing she had made earlier if the cafe scene around them near her. She smiled politely, her cheeks tinged with a slight blushes before turning away and pushing the cafe door open and heading back to her book store.

Eve heard the light footsteps coming behind her, but she didn't move to acknowledge her until the drawing was placed beside her. She looked up with wide, doe eyes and saw it was the girl she'd been looking at earlier. Eve was quick to notice the blush on her cheeks before she turned and left without a word. Her mouth hung slightly agape as she turned her attention to the drawing. It was very good. As Eve studied it, she gasped softly. There she was, sketched into the drawing, looking out the window. Her head shot up to watch the girl cross the bustling street. "Who are you?" she whispered, asking the girl, but speaking quietly to herself. She quickly looked back to her computer screen and began to type.
