i always see people saying stuff about how they could talk about something they love for hours and stuff and just wanted to have a place where u could do that :)

I have a bike ride that I am trying to prepare myself for coming up on May 1st. The whole ride is 60 miles long (that's both ways). However, riders have the option of starting in 3 different locations along the route; they can stop at any point they wish to. There are snack/rest stops along the way with lunch at the end.

Seems cool, is it a marathon?
@SupernaturalSyGuyIsTIred group
Not really. There's the official starting point,
where breakfast is provided, two pit stops along the way (you can even start from these points), and lunch at the end. It started as a memorial bike ride for a well known local. He had a goal of riding 80 miles on his 80th birthday. Unfortunately he passed at the age of 79.
Last year's ride was canceled thanks to Corona; the ride has been a thing since 2013.

Cool, sounds fun

That's too long of a bike ride. My booty and thighs and calves would literally die.

It is fun! There's the bonus of beautiful scenery and great exercise too! I always make sure to buy a bag of trail mix or something and a big jug of Gold Peak tea before the ride, and of course take my portable battery pack, chargers, phone and speaker. The ride starts early in the morning (7 or 8) and lasts well into the afternoon. If I go all the way to get lunch I also keep money on me for a doughnut shop stop! π

A cushioned seat works wonders, and food is a powerful motivator!

I've played softball games in one hundred degree weather wearing literal body armor that cooks me like a rotessiere chicken and I still would not ride a bike for 60 miles. If I were to do it, somebody better have some deeeeepppp pockets to take me anywhere I want to go eat and anywhere I want to go shop later on.
@SupernaturalSyGuyIsTIred group
My dad helps out every year and hooks his trailer up, so I usually go one way (30 miles, but it depends on where you start) and call him to pick my exhausted butt up! π€£
@SupernaturalSyGuyIsTIred group
For example:
The first snack/rest area is in my hometown. If I started here and rode to the second snack/rest area it would be 11.8 miles. Continuing on from there to go get lunch is another 9.1 miles. Adding that up equals 20.9 miles.
I even make my own rest stops along the way to stretch, get a drink and pull something from the snack stach that I've acquired.

Tfw you write some really good dialogue between two of your ocs, like it, then in a moment of brain dead-ness try looking them up on Ao3 because you want to read more of them

I've been really lethargic lately.
@ElderGod-Winter-The-Renegade-Legionnaire book
Well fix it π but I get it. I really don't want to do anything and I'm tired all the timeβ¦
@SupernaturalSyGuyIsTIred group
Yeah. Slept all day again. The fact that it rained factors into that too!
