(instead of sight maybe it'll be like their 'powers' or whatever. Like for Charlie, she suddenly senses that somebody is about to die but these messages appear on the walls and stuff saying "don't tell them you know" or something like that??)

Full Name: Avlynn Spring
Age: 26
Basic Appearance: Avlynn has short grey hair, with darker streaks running through it. Her eyes are yellow and always behind round-rimmed glasses, and her skin is relatively pale. She's not that tall. Typically, she wears jeans and some kind of sweater, although she's fairly fond of flannel too. Avlynn tends to lean towards browns, greys, blacks, and yellows. (I know the pic isn't exactly what I said but it was what I had to work with just pretend the changes are there dsklavn)

Personality: Avlynn is absolutely the mom friend. She's not particularly fond of fighting, but will deck a bitch if she needs to. Having a little trouble writing stuff down but y'all know her already.
Profession: Avlynn works in a music shop with her husband. She deals with instruments and sheet music, and her husband deals with records, record players, and radios.
Other: Avlynn's husband is a man named Edmund. They've been married for seven years(they were high school sweethearts!!) and are generally wholesome. They've been thinking about adopting a kid. Avlynn plays quite a few instruments, her favorites being the ocarina, piano, and marimba. The name of her and Edmund's music shop is "Spring Melodies".

Full Name: Kiyowara Lyndon
Nickname(s): Kiyo, Lyn.
Basic Appearance: He's a 5'8" 20 y/o with short, silky, raven black hair that reaches the nape of his neck, contrasting his pale skin. He has piercing, narrow, cerulean blue eyes, framed by his hair. He wears a plain white button-up adorned with a red bowtie underneath an off-the-shoulder sweater shawl. He also tends to wear an earring made of pure ruby (not pictured). He isn't fond of wearing it often, but he does wear it on occasion in his left ear.

Identifying features: Scars on his face from old accidents he got in, however, they don't hurt anymore and he covers them with makeup. He also has burn wounds on his forearms from cooking.
Personality: He's kind of temperamental, and when highly aggravated will either stress cry, or break a hole in a damn wall (despite looking physically incapable of doing so). Or both on occasion.
Profession: He works in the police force as an assistant criminal investigator (aka detective), a job that sometimes doesn't really match his patience nor demeanour. He supposedly helps keep the leading track of abnormal occurrences in regards to crime scenes, (though this is self-proclaimed and not very accurate, because when he finds something abnormal that really intrigues him, he spends hours or even days researching it instead of searching for other inconsistencies.)

Basic Appearance : Standing at 6’ with black hair and blue eyes. He has quite a light-toned skin with a healthy aura to it. More often than not, he can be seen wearing his hair in a bun or a small ponytail as well as be seen in all black and/or white since he feels like he looks best in comfortable, monochromatic clothing.

Personality : Very needy, Easy to upset, “Tsundere” to a degree, Fashioned, The kind of person you’d meet regularly in volunteering works even though he looks like he’s about to die there— basically, he secretly cares

Profession : Currently works as a Librarian and is a pretty talented Home Cook

Other : As of the story, he’s just broken up with his boyfriend and acts like he’s on his nonexistent period.

Gender and sexuality: Female, bisexual
Appearance:5'2 and on the thin side, with light olive skin and light green hair in a bob. She always has yellow, blue and pink flowers in her hair, and has large green eyes. She usually wears old, faded t-shirts and oversized sweaters with flowers embroidered on the sleeves. She usually wears dark shorts or pants, depending on the weather. She has some tattoos, most noticeably a vine covered in flowers snaking down from her right collarbone to her left arm.

Personality: Juniper is outgoing and enthusiastic, and loves nature, especially plants. Despite her friendly and cheerful manner, she's excited by the prospects of murder, torture and death, and certainly has a somewhat insane side to her.
Profession: Juni owns a flower shop, and embroiders on the side. She grows most of her own products, and arranges them herself as well.

(I kinda like the Shadow one, but if we don't use it it's fine. I was thinking that maybe if some of our characters were the shadows, that might be interesting, but again, I really don't mind.))

Humans once wielded a plethora of magical abilities and powers. As generations passed and the human population grew, however, the mana spread too thinly to have any affect. This gradual process was referred to as The Great Waning. Then, hostile aliens staked their claim on planet Earth and humanity becomes a fraction of what once was. It becomes scattered- some go beneath the earth in caves and live underground, some go underwater and make breathable spaces and buildings to dwell in, some elsewhere. A few are captured by the extraterrestrials and made slaves, livestock, or scientific experiments. Then, two things begin happening at the same time. First, the shadows began to appear. They weren’t ghosts, that was made clear by how inhuman some of them appeared to be. They roamed the night, their objectives hidden from human perception and their nature too hostile to engage with. Second, humans began to regain their powers. They seemed to start appearing several centuries after the arrival of the aliens.
Now, our eight young heroes can either start their journey scattered across a wide area and eventually find each other, or they can all start in the same place. Anyhow, when they gain or regain they’re powers, they suddenly see messages written on every surface they could see. Don’t tell them you know, or some variant of that sentence depending on what kind of abilities they had. No one else seems to have the same experience or see the messages. Why them? Who knows! Were they written by the shadows? Maybe, maybe not. It’s not clear why or if they would have the ability to write at all. Who is the ‘them’ anyway? The aliens? Everyone our characters come across? Unclear!
(Sigh ok, it’s a little unfinished, but if you guys could throw some feedback my way, that would be great)

I like the idea that they could all come from different areas/bases/experiences, but I don't like the idea of being all spread out. It seems like it would be difficult to RP like that. Idk, other than that I really like it!
