(Just gonna tag my main in case I come back before this dies: @izzy-is-officially-on-hiatus)

On May 17, a terrible thing happened. Something horrific. Anna, a young teenage girl only sixteen at the time, was in a car crash. She was driving, even though she was underrage, and couldn't react quickly enough when a drunk man, Jacob crashed his truck into the car Anna was driving. Of course, even if she had reacted instantly, it wasn't like she wouldn't have been hit anyways. Nearby passerbys noticed the accident, and immediately called emergency services. Not long after Anna arrived in Saint Peters Hospital, she fell into a coma, which lasted a year and a half. No one expected her to ever wake up again. It was a miracle she was still alive. But when she finally woke, she saw her friends and family standing around her, all looking at her with worried faces. And something was off. Everyone in the room could feel it. Anna sat up, looking around at them not with excitement or happiness, but rather confusion. She opened her mouth to speak, her first words being, "Who are you? And where am I?"

It was strange, they later said as they talked about that moment. It was as if their thoughts were all connected at that moment, and at that moment only, one single word went through their minds that second: Amnesia. The doctors had warned them that there was a small chance that this would happen.

Precisely three seconds later, that's when the promise was made. Anna's best friend walked up to her, saying in a bold voice, "I'll bring you back, Anna. I promise," although her voice was quivering, and she could tell her friend was trying not to cry. She grasped Anna's hand tightly, sealing the promise as she added, "I'll do whatever it takes to bring you back."

(I apologize for how blunt my words are following here. I don't feel like phrasing my words eloquently right now. I might edit it tomorrow.)
So, the plot I had in mind is listed above. It isn't going to be romance.Just an adventure. Anna is a placeholder name. I'll be playing Anna. You'll play Anna's friend. Um, yeah, I think that's about it.
Rules you ask? If you're relatively experienced, you should already know them just off the top of your mind. I'm not going to list them out this time since my brain's kinda dead and I'm just pulling out an old rp idea I had a while ago and realized I wanted to try it out now. Uh, most important one that I am going to list is: No one liners for the heaven's sake. That is my biggest pet peeve and I will not allow one-liners in this rp.

name: Grace Takani
age: 17
gender: Female s/h
sexual orientation: Straight
looks: Short wavy hair that falls just to the bottom of her neck. Toward the bottom, it holds a sort of caramel-blonde color, whereas the roots are a much darker brown. Occasionally, she has it up in a messy bun— only when she’s feeling “artsy.” She has large emerald eyes that hide behind the lenses of large, round glasses. Freckles dot her diminutive nose, and look like small constellations against her olive skin. She’s almost always wearing a kind smile, and looks slightly tired more often than not. She has a very thin frame with little to no curve, and stands at roughly 5’4.”
distinguishing markings: Grace has a small birthmark on her left shoulder, that vaguely resembles a turtle.
fashion: She loves wearing those comfortable oversized sweaters tucked into accidentally ripped jeans and colorful belts. She’s a fan of pastel colors, but enjoys some dark jeans from time to time.
height: 5’4”
personality: To outsiders, Grace is the shy/nerdy kid. However, to her close friends, she comes off as courageous and reckless. She refrains from showing this side to strangers because she doesn’t want to seem rash or careless. She likes to embrace the quiet kid demeanor, so if someone ever crossed her or doubted her, she could prove them wrong. It was one of her favorite things to do.
talents and hobbies: Grace loves playing piano, however she can’t read sheet music for her life. She’s learned to play it by ear, having full hand Independence and she’s proud. She believes she’s good at connecting and understanding people as well, and is a wonderful painter. Though, that, she would never admit herself.

(Tell me if she works! If you need anything changed, let me know :)

(okay so this is all i have rn, i'll try to finish it later)
name: Megan Rose Lynn

age: 17

gender: female

sexual orientation: straight

looks (picture is fine): [https://pin.it/eKrUh8D] Green eyes.

distinguishing markings: A 5.72" long scar on her sternum from one of her numerous surgeries in the first month following the crash.

fashion (clothing and accessories): usually this during the summer with these shoes(but black, not grey), something like this or this but with thicker leggings in the winter, and while she was in the hospital, Megan got to wear this stylish gown. Throughout the whole process, she never took off her heart necklace which was given to her by her mother when she was 10.

height: About 5'3".

personality: Before the accident, Megan was a happy-go-lucky girl, struggled with schoolwork some, and overall was your average normal high school junior. But all that was erased after she woke up. Since she couldn't remember anything, she became more cautious, but at the same time more… loose and willing to let things go.

talents and hobbies: Megan was an avid photographer before the accident, and surprisingly, that, and her ability to play the flute (she had played in her local youth symphony in the past) somehow stayed with her throughout the whole process.

(Oh- also if you want, Grace can call Megan "Meg" for short)

The soft, hushed voices. Their whispers were the first thing she heard, and her eyes fluttered open. Megan groaned softly, the lights too bright and the air too cold and too dry. As she struggled to make sense of her new location, the low murmur of the voices, varying in frequency, grew louder and louder- but not by much. Enough, though, that her ears, which hadn't registered a single sound for the last year and a half, began to ring. Megan silently cursed the sensitivities of her ear, but she was still trying to muster up the energy to speak. Finally adjusting to the lights and having found her voice, she began to speak in a soft whisper. "W-where am I? And… who are you guys?"

Grace’s green eyes flitted over to Megan, her heart skipping at least more than two beats.
She swiftly slid to the side of the other girl’s bed, taking up one of her hands. Grace’s face gave off an expression of relief with just the slightest tinge of sorrow.
“Meg?” she said softly. However, as the last words Megan had said began to sink in, Grace’s face changed to confusion.
“Megan?” she asked, pushing up her glasses. “What do you mean?”
The girl’s eyes flicked behind her, trying to see if Megan had been speaking of other people. Surley she remembered Grace, right?

@maddie-the-unknown

Megan frowned slightly. There was a strange girl in front of her, and she was still trying to figure out who she was. Obviously, she'd known her. But who she was? That was the question. They'd been close. Sisters, maybe? Best friends? She could tell by the use of her nickname, which was rarely used except by her close family and friends. "I-I'm sorry… I don't know who you are…" Megan stammered. Why couldn't she remember anything? She racked her brain, trying to remember something, anything at all. But she couldn't find anything. The last thing she remembered, was walking home from school, and being excited about something. (This was the day of the accident.)

Grace’s heart instantly broke. It was a rough pain in her chest, striking through and causing her eyes to begin to water. She wasn’t one to cry. Ever. But…
But it’s not like Megan would know that, now.
Grace gripped the girl’s hand tighter on accident, unaware she was even doing so. Her eyes watered and she looked broken, but she gave a smile. The kind that holds melancholy to every extent.
She let go of the other girl’s hand, and instead held out her own, as to shake Megan’s hand.
“I-I’m Grace,” she coughed, her voice extremely shaky. “It’s-It’s n-nice to meet you. I’m… I-I’m your best f-friend.”

@PaperHats business

(I tried to embody what I would feel if I had a best friend that didn’t remember me so I hope you feeling this ~feeling is a good thing and I did something right X3)

@maddie-the-unknown

Megan smiled softly. She hated to see Grace like this… darn her brain! Why did it have to do this to her? Why? Those were the questions she asked over and over, wracking her brain to find the answers that would never come to her. "It's… nice to meet you too, Grace…"

Just then, a nurse with a warm smile and teal scrubs walked in. "How is Megan doing? I'm surprised she woke up after this long… I won't be long, I'll just be in to check her vitals…" she grinned at Megan, not noticing the heartbroken expression on Grace's face. The nurse walked over to the other side of her bed, only then seeing Grace's expression. "Oh- what's wrong dearie?" she asked in a concerned voice while she set up the materials she needed.

@PaperHats business

Grace drifted her glazed eyes to the nurse, holding that same absolutely broken smile.
She didn’t want to speak it. Then, it might be real. It couldn’t be. This was just a prank, right? That’s what friends did, right? It’s just a joke.
“A-amnesia,” Grace finally managed to stutter out. She glanced from the nurse to Megan, her hands now at her sides.
She looked down, shadow covering the top of her face. From beneath, tears began to fall onto the bed below. The spots dotted her large glasses, and she took them off, shoving them in her pocket. She lifted a sleeved hand, wiping at her eyes. The bright sleeve was splotched with the tears, causing the light pink to deepen.
“B-but that’s okay,” she said after a brief moment. “That just leaves room for new memories… r-right?”
She drifted her gaze back to Megan, the juvenile twinkle in them long gone. “We’ll get you back. If not better. D-Deal?”
