The male sat silently upon a large chair. He seemingly swiped his hand to the side, several screens appearing before him. Once again, with precise movements, those fingers darted across, seemingly scrolling through, swiping things to different sides, then his hand returning to his side. A frown crossed the male's features, looking back as several pictures appeared.
He remained staring for several moments, but at the sound of a door creaking behind him, the male swiftly removed the screens, swiveling his chair around. He came to settle his elbows upon the desk before him, folding his hands neatly, resting his chin upon his folded hands. It wasn't long, when the door opened fully, heavy footsteps echoing. A tall male soon entered the great room, walking towards the seated man.
The newcomer was covered in a brown trench coat, eyes a dark amber. His hands were deep in his pockets as he approached the desk. Though, the strangest thing about the male, he wore a metallic mask, covering the bottom half of his face, particularly around and covering the mouth and jaw. He remained standing, those amber eyes staring towards the seated man.
The male in the chair barely moved, head remaining resting on his folded hands, "Ah, Xero, I am glad you made it."
The masked male suddenly reached into his jacket, pulling out a folder, tossing it onto the table before the other. Xero, as he was called, then spoke, voice sounding muffled through the mask, "A minor report. A few…pests appeared, but were quickly dealt with, so they shall no longer be problems."
The other removed his head, hands reaching down towards the folder. He opened it, letting his fingers flit through the papers neatly placed inside, eyes quickly scanning through the reports. Once he finished, he set the folder down, a serious expression crossing the male's features.
"Xero, you haven't by chance come across Eremiel? The boy hasn't shown up yet to my office when I asked for him…"
Xero looked at the seated man, remaining silent for several moments, then finally responding, "Cannot say I have sir, shall I look for him?"
The other sighed softly, slowly closing his eyes, "…if you could please Xero…"
Xero only bowed his head in response, turning and exiting out of the room, leaving the seated man to his thoughts.
He sat in silence, suddenly speaking softly once the other had left, "Khaliset…do me a favor and bring my son back to me…"
A flash of movement, a pair of bright, glowing yellow eyes suddenly appearing behind the man's chair…

He walked quietly along the sidewalk. The streets were just beginning to stir, sun beginning to rise. The male figure was covered in a cloak, hood pulled up over his head, hiding his features. He came to a pause, glancing back over his shoulder.
In the distance, towards the middle of the city, stood that great tower that was the Lamian HQ. He really should be heading there, but something had caught his attention, and he felt it was necessary to check it out. Oh, he knew he'd most likely end up getting a lecture, but that was something he'd gotten quite used to by now.
The male seemingly sighed, turning his head back to face forward. He continued down the path, heading towards a more drab part of the city along the outskirts. Seemed the slums always had trouble going on, but something in particular this day was making him uneasy. He couldn't name it, just something felt completely…off, and so he found himself walking towards the direction that could possibly be trouble.

Destiny grimaced as her middle folded over with the force of the stranger's punch. She had to spit out blood before she regained her standing position. This guy would not insult her family, and she'd set a good example out of him if anyone tried to do the same. She jumped on his back and choked him, only stopping when she knew he was unconscious-she wasn't a killer.
Destiny walked out of the alleyway in terrible condition. She tasted her own metallic blood and had some of the stranger's blood coating her clothing, as well as a knife wound on her left shoulder. When she saw the man, she tensed. The way he walked steadily, it made her suspicious. Either that, or he was new to the area.
"You don't look like you know this area well. I wouldn't recommend it to your type. Wouldn't want to end up like me, or worse."

@PrettyLittlePyro

Two girls pulled themselves from the shadows of a nearby building, following the man as he walked toward their territory. The only distinguishable thing about them was their gender, because of their curved hourglass figures. They both wore black jacket with hoods that shadowed their faces, black boots and black pants. They walked in sync as well. It was creepy and unnerving, as if they shared the same mind.

@Dragoncita group

He had only been walking for a bit longer when movement caught his attention. The hooded male lifted his head, only to see a female come stumbling out of an alleyway. Hm, was this part of the disturbance he had sensed? The scent hit almost instantly, that unmistakable scent lingering in the air; blood.
Hidden eyes scanned the woman before him, noticing the blood spatter on her clothes, shifting upwards to notice the wound on her shoulder. Seemed she must've been in a hostile encounter of sorts. Just a guess, by her haggard appearance and the fact the scent of blood was heavy.

The male's body stiffened even further. Eyes, he felt two pairs of eyes behind him. The hood turned ever so slightly, looking backwards. What was this, another pair of females? Had they been following and only now did he notice? Damn, and here he thought he had been doing good keeping his guard up around himself. Well, suppose he couldn't keep track of everything all at once.
Currently, the strange duo behind him weren't proving to be too big of a threat right then, so he looked back to the injured woman. Despite his hidden features inside the hood, his posture told the story of how he felt if one looked close. Yes, he was now on high alert, body tense and ready to move at a moment's notice. Thoughts running through his mind, scenarios of the current situation, and how to try and deal with them.
"No, I am not originally from this part of the city, nor is it normally on my patrol route."
There was seemingly a flicker of a pair of purple eyes in the darkness of the male's hood, "My 'type' you say? You are mistaken, as there aren't many that live up to my 'type'."

There was some truth to his statement. There weren't many of his…'kind' so to speak. Of course, reasons behind this, but such reasons were kept under lock and key, even from him. It seemed only a select few back in Lamian HQ knew the truth. It was of course frustrating to a point, especially when your own father knew of the truth, and kept it from you for your own 'safety'.
He seemingly shook his head, trying to clear it. He couldn't let it bother him, not right now. This was not the time or place to dwell on such things. That hidden gaze once again returned to the injured woman before him.
"Need some help with that," his voice held maybe a little bit of concern. He pointed towards her shoulder, hoping it would get his point across.

Oh, he hadn't forgotten about the pair behind him. However, in his mind, they were still not proving to be a threat, more so an unsettling pair of eyes just staring at him, something which he didn't like, but lived with on a daily basis in his line of work.
The male would acknowledge them if they did indeed decide to approach closer and also interact with both him and this other, injured woman.

@PrettyLittlePyro

The one on the right tilted her head. "Interesting," she mused. "Why is it that someone so kind is in a place like this, hmm?" Her voice echoed and vibrated, as if being reflected off of something and sent back, many times.

The one on the left giggled. "Oh, I'm sure he just got lost," she said in tones much like her sister, only livlier and more playful, which was almot scarier. "Isn't that what they all say?" She clucked her tongue, and the two of them moved closer to the man.

They both tilted their heads, and a lock of hair escaped the hoods, coal black and glimmering in the light. "He shouldn't be here," the first one said.

"This is our territory," the second agreed, sounding menacing.

"I'm fine. There are worse dangers in these parts, if you haven't picked up on that," Destiny nodded to the duet behind him. "Honestly, the fact that you haven't been killed is amusing." She shrugged, digging her hands into her pockets.

@Dragoncita group

Very well, he wouldn't argue with the woman if she was insisting she was fine. Just trying to be a 'good person'…or creature…or whatever the hell he was, still figuring that shit out there. Then the woman also went to pointing out the strange duo behind him. The hooded male took a moment to glance back again towards the pair. The duo had grown closer, or so it felt.
"Oh, I have no doubt of that. There is always worse things, just keep in mind, sometimes the 'worse things' don't come from where you would think."

There was indeed always something that would up the so-called 'worse thing' and so forth. Just a cycle it seemed, nature had a way of making something that could take a problem out, and just continuing onwards from there. It was just all a repeating process…less you were one of those 'snags' in nature that put a whole new twist in the whole 'survival' game. Something that was a possible problem in the future it, when in truth they were suppose to be a solution. Well, good thing there weren't a lot of his 'kind'.
As the woman mentioned him not being 'killed' yet, an audible sigh came from inside the hood. Ah yes, good old death. He had close calls with it, and so far it has been unsuccessful on taking his life. Despite only being nineteen years old, it was always a constant threat, for reasons. However, that was all stories for another time, and some of the reasons he was even unsure of why.
"Ya know, it probably amuses me more when people underestimate someone like me."
He then gave a shrug, pausing. A sudden sensation perked his interest, glancing backwards…

"HEY! SO THIS IS WHERE YOU ARE ASSHOLE!"
A blur had zipped past the strange duo, not once seeming to care that they had run past. Though the blur soon took shape around the hooded male, revealing another. This one seemed younger…and much more brash. He had wrapped an arm around the hooded one's neck, leaning against him. He wore a black beanie on his head, a light jacket covering his body. Though, a strange appearance of the male was the fact a long, scaly tail was snaking behind him, hair an unnatural pale pink.
"Yo! We have shit to do Ere-", he was never allowed to finish as a fist met his gut, making him crumple to the ground.

Another sigh sounded, the hood lifting, but the facial features remaining hidden, "Shut the fuck up Nasuko…never do know when to shut your mouth…ignore him please…"
A sudden movement was made as the Nasuko, as he was called, leapt upwards, aiming a fist towards the hooded one's face, to only be stopped. Of course, the reaction on Nasuko's face was priceless, rage, but the rage was dissipating into pain as his arm was suddenly twisted in the opposite direction.
"OWOWOWOWOW…ALRIGHT! FUCKING STOP! I GET IT, I GET IT!"
Several more moments of agonizing pain and a flurry of swears, the hooded one finally released his grip on Nasuko's fist, "You know, this better be good, come barging from out of nowhere. Lucky I've gotten used to it now."

Nasuko was rubbing his fist, eyes darting back and forth, tail flicking now and then. His tail finally snaked around his leg, eyes a bright green. Though as the other mentioned him, a smirk crossed his features, "Gotta keep you on your toes somehow…though I will admit, also glad you don't go full 'kill-mode' on me now. Jeez, last time you did that, you did nearly kill me."
"Nasuko," the male's voice had a tinge of annoyance now instead of the calm like earlier, "I'll make it as simple as possible for you…am I forcefully getting my ass hauled back to HQ, or am getting a break and get a chance to walk?"

"Oooohhh," Nasuko tilted his head, "You just want it right here and now then, alright…yea, yea you're getting your ass hauled back there."
A groan escaped from the hooded male, instantly turning to a wall, beginning to 'lightly' beat his head against the wall…who the hell am I kidding, he was beating his head against the brick, making the stones actually crack in places.

As for Nasuko, he suddenly appeared beside the injured woman, ignoring 'personal space'. A slight grin crossed his features, turning those green eyes to her, "Eh, this is nothing. You haven't seen this guy angry. I mean, when extremely pissed, this guy wrecks shit like no tomorrow…who are you by the way? And what's with creepy girl 1 and 2 behind us? Never noticed them when I was running past…huh?"
Seemed Nasuko wasn't exactly the…brightest, but he had strengths elsewhere.

@PrettyLittlePyro

(Wow, dude. I am super impressed with how much you can write!)

When the creature appeared, and was knocked over by the first man, the two girls giggled suddenly. As he said that last part, they looked at each other and burst into laughter. The second girl pulled her hood off, revealing bright, dancing hazel eyes and black hair. She was laughing so hard her eyes were tearing up. Now that her hood was off, she sounded like a normal person.

Her sister was slower to pull her hood off. She had the same features her sister did, but with different eyes. She was giggling, but not giving herself into the laughter that her twin was.

"Honestly," the hazel eyes girl said. "No one so stupid and clueless has been here for ages." She wiped a tear from her eye and straightened, trying to compose herself, but her lips were still twitching with amusement, and her eyes danced with laughter. "It's a nice relief, really." She grinned at Nasuko, not seeming to care that he looked a little… different.

Her sister sighed and rolled her eyes. "But he was fast, though. You have to give him credit for that. And I thought we were trying to be menacing and stuff."

"No, you wanted to be creepy. That was all you're idea. I just wanted to kill them." The second girl put her hands on her hips. Although she was no longer smiling, waves of amusement poured off of her. One got the impression that she was rarely serious about anything.

Destiny sighed, glancing at the boy called Nasuko. "Like I'm to give you my name. You can call me D for now, if you insist. What makes you come to these parts? After all, you came here, not vice versa, so we get to ask first." The injured woman was smirking.

@Dragoncita group

"HEY! I wouldn't call myself stupid…I'm-"
"Mentally challenged? Honestly, of all candidates, and the ones to be paired in my unit, it had to be you…"
He had finally taken a moment to step away from the brick wall where he had currently been beating his head. The hood had finally slid off, revealing the male's face. He seemed normal, for the most part, though the area around his right eye and part of his face and partially down his neck weren't your usual 'human flesh', no, it had seemingly crystalized, almost scale-like, but not quite. It was rather difficult to explain the appearance, yet his eyes, those dark violet, that gaze held a story behind it.
The male's features remained expressionless, even as blood had begun to slowly drip from somewhere in his mess of dark brown, nearly black, hair and down his face. However, the wall looked worse off than himself to be honest. A great dent now in the wall where he had only recently been beating his head.
Nasuko paused, glancing over to him. A frown actually crossed his features, that once brash and playful nature turning into concern, "Hey, c'mon Captain, it ain't all that bad."
Violet eyes turned, facing directly at the younger male, "Remember, you have it way easier than me…anyways…"
He suddenly turned his attention towards the pair that seemed to be together. hearing their words. Sure, it was a good laugh, Nasuko was good for that, not that he would ever admit it. Just something about him that brought life to what would normally be a boring turn of events, maybe it was just his happy attitude that brightened a situation, even when it was dark. Nasuko was probably considered the 'back-bone' to their unit…
"I advise against trying to kill us. Nasuko, yea, you'd probably have a chance against the idiot…"
A low growl sounded nearby from Nasuko, shooting a glare at his Captain, green eyes narrowed, pupils thin slits, "Fuck you…but yea…I'd also have to say, don't try anything with Ere-I mean my Captain."
When he had nearly slipped his name again, he was met with a glare that instantly made him shift uncomfortably in place.
Seemed this 'Captain' was against having his name said out loud to strangers. Instead, he looked back to the women before them, "Lilac head may not be the brightest, nor look that tough, but there's a lot more to him, and myself than meets the eye."

Nasuko's growl once again became louder. His tail started to lash back and forth in growing agitation, "Don't call me that…you're such an asshole…"
"Shut up, you don't get your ass hauled back all the time…speaking of, that should be happening pretty soon, considering how fast Sigurd's pact beast can move."
The 'Captain' looked between the three women once again, "Names are meaningless for meetings such as this. I was simply 'drawn' here for reasons unknown…"
"More like something has you worried," Nasuko had suddenly butted in, "I know you, and something's bugging you out here."

Nasuko also turned his attention to the ladies, "And honestly, I don't think any of these present are creating a disturbance…well, at least not a big enough one to warrant your attention Captain."
The 'Captain' had moved, already having started to walk away. He didn't seem at all worried, having turned his back to potential threats, leaving himself open should one want to try it, despite the warnings.
"Hey, Nasuko, why not make a quick run of the place anyways. I'm just gonna start heading back so not to get these citizens involved."

He would much prefer not having strangers see the spectacle…not that it would be the first time. Just seemed like every time he was grabbed and hauled back was in the middle of large crowds. Fucking worse when it happened, and you didn't have a say in it at all. Once again, there were reasons…but he'd like some room for freedom…instead of these fleeting moments…

(That was so much amazing writing that I don't even know what to type! I'll probably have to reread it again.)

D frowned, rolling her eyes before turning away. She had business elsewhere.
"I'd say it was nice meeting you, Nasuko and… you two, but I don't believe that these circumstances have helped this meeting in the slightest." D shrugged, casually walking away, hoping to find a familiar place, one with laughter and joy, warmth and light, and most of all-
She'd almost gotten lost in her memories-all but the past. That was all gone now. Now, she had to focus on herself, no one else. She needed to be wary of what lurked in the shadows, and not let her guard fall-she didn't want to be killed by savages like he was.

@Dragoncita group

The 'Captain' had only taken several steps on the path away, when a sudden rumble seemingly echoed against the walls of the buildings nearby. Loose pebbles on the path began vibrating, something was coming, causing the earth to quake.
A sudden, giant shape came rocketing downwards from who knows where. That very shape came bearing down upon the male. Everything happened in an instant; one moment he had just been standing there, now he was in the jaws of a giant, panther-like beast. Glowing yellow eyes turned, facing the small group behind it.
The creature was indeed giant cat-like in build, but it seemed more of a combination of mechanic and organic. A large 'cannon' seemed to be on the beast's back, but folded backwards against its spine. An intense heat seemed to roll of the great beast as it stood in place, just glaring, as if daring anyone to stop it.
Perhaps the strangest spectacle, was said 'Captain' was not struggling in the slightest. No, he seemed more relaxed than anything. There was just a 'dead' look in his eyes as he stared off into space.
Yup…leave it to his father to send his pact beast…everytime…

At the sudden appearance of the giant creature, Nasuko was quick to back off, tail tucking between his legs. An audible swallow sounded from the young male, clearly not wanting to anger the creature in any way.
The male glanced over out of the corner of his eyes, making sure the females, well, the ones that had still staid, take the hint to not make any threatening movements. Nasuko's voice was low, quiet for the ears closest to him.
"Aw shit, knew she was fast, didn't think that fast though. Just, if ya wanna fight, keep it to yourself till she leaves…shouldn't take long for her to take off back to HQ."

Everyone in the city knew this beast, and what it was capable of doing should she get angered. A raging, demonic beast that could destroy even the strongest of buildings by a mere blast from that 'cannon' on her back. That 'cannon' was the deadliest bit of the beast's arsenal, then add on the destructive/explosive abilities, incredibly powerful claws, and piercing fangs all added up to make this deadly demon.

"C'mon…just leave already…"
Nasuko began to shift uneasily from foot to foot, tail remaining between his legs. He really didn't want this thing to stick around, nothing ever good came from her staying too long in one place.
The beast glared directly at the young male, seemingly ignoring the women present. Those cold, yellow eyes were alien, no pupils, just a vast yellow. They seemed to look right into one's soul, burning. She remained in place for several moments longer, then the creature did indeed finally take off, once again disappearing in a blur, leaving nothing behind.

Once she had gone, did Nasuko release an audible sigh. His tail limply swung to his side now. The male's green eyes closed, rubbing at his forehead a bit.
"Jeez, that thing always freaks me out…and to think…"
He quickly grew quiet again. No, he didn't want to get in trouble again. Last punishment was complete torture.

"God, do I hate that thing. Are you," D moved her hand up and down, gesturing at Nasuko, "alright? Sounds like you have a bit of history with that 'Captain' of yours."
D took off her jacket, which would have been a tan color if not for the stains of blood, dirt, and others on it, wiping it free of some dust. It was too late to even try to get the coat clean again–it had been forever since it had been remotely rinsed.

@Dragoncita group

((OOC: Coffee, you may post anywhere in the city you feel is comfortable, no need to be part of the scene currently happening. Though if you would like, I can have a character elsewhere for you to try and interact with while Nasuko remains with Nerd's character if it helps you))

@Dragoncita group

Nasuko had moved off to the side. He moved so his back now rested against the stone wall, slowly sliding downwards till he was sitting on the ground. The young male lifted a hand, removing the beanie that had once covered his head, running a hand through pale pink hair. His tail had curled up against his side, feeling a weight lift off of him so to speak.
The presence of that demon was enough to cause even a stout heart to panic. Then considering whom that beast answered to, the head of the Lamian HQ itself, it was just one of those things you didn't want to test and see. Of course, there would always be the idiots who would continue what they were doing, to only be blown into pieces by the creature. All called upon when her master called upon her abilities.

Nasuko happened to glance up, the woman having seemingly stopped to turn and look back towards them. Well, least she listened long enough to sit still and keep from doing anything while the demon was present, and taking leave with his 'Captain'. He returned his hat over his head, leaning back against the wall again.
The male's green eyes glanced upwards towards her, pupils round, showing he had relaxed again. For as brash and energetic he had been upon the first meeting, now he seemed to have calmed down, maybe a bit too much compared to his more bubbly self. Now he just sounded completely drained of all the energy he had once had.
"Yea, great, fine fucking-tastic…"
He grew quiet a for a few moments, then moved a hand rubbing the back of his head, shifting his gaze towards the ground, "Sorry…Khaliset, as you probably already know…hell, the whole city knows of that thing…just not very good memories with that thing."
The young man turned his green gaze back to 'D', as she referred to herself, if he remembered correctly, a hint of his smile had returned, "Anyways, yea, I've known the Captain for about five years now, first met him when I was twelve and first introduced to the practices of Lamian Headquarters…"
The male suddenly grew quiet. Yea, there were some, bad memories down that lane. Sure, some of those memories are what made him this day, but some memories were best forgotten.

A small bell jingled as he entered the usual small café that he made a point to stop in some time during the week, or more depending. This morning, he needed some kind of fix to get him through the day. It just felt like he was dragging, but then having staid up nearly the entire night going through paperwork, and then going out to shed to check on current new arrivals of creatures to the reserve, yea, it was just gonna be one of those weeks…
"Oh, hello Ragnor, the usual I assume?"
"Normally I'd say yes Miss Nirvana, but shit…OW!"
From behind the tall male, a small fae-like creature appeared hovering behind his head. Jade green eyes glared at the man, an angry chirping soon followed by a small, scolding voice from the little thing, "Ragnor! Language, especially in a public place!"
An annoyed growl came from the dark haired man as he lifted left arm, which was completely covered in a metallic gauntlet, rubbing the back of his head. He muttered a few choice words under his breath, glaring back at the small creature that hovered by his side.
"C'mon Eve, it's way too early in the morning for you to be beating me already…STOP!"
The small creature had actually reached over during his sentence, once again slapping the back of his head. At the seemingly distress of her master, Eve, as was her name, gave another chirrup. Her buzzing wings slowed down as she lowered herself onto the man's shoulder, crossing one leg over the other. She laid her long ears back, tail curled against her side.
"For being my familiar, you sure can get damn pushy. Aren't I the one suppose to be in charge?"
Eve rolled her eyes, "Without me, you'd be a mess. Always have to remind you to take your tonic, then look through your papers, and…"
Ragnor lifted a hand, lightly setting an armored finger on the creature's lips, "Alright, alright, I get it."
A soft chuckle came from the male, "You're right, I would be a miserable mess without your help."

Ragnor had moved towards a small table against a wall close to a large window. He set a large folder down in front of him, his unarmored hand wrapped around a mug of steaming liquid. The male lightly tapped a finger against the table, green eyes glancing over the papers before him.
As for little Eve, the creature was given a saucer with golden nectar. She took a few laps of substance, before walking over plopping herself on the side of the folder and papers. Her own green eyes were skimming through as her master did the same. The male paused for a moment, then suddenly sighed. He lifted his good hand, lightly rubbing his face, before returning it upon the table.
"Damn, still no luck trying to find good homes for familiars…"
Eve lifted her head, giving a questioning chirrup, then speaking, voice soft, "You're talking about Damascus, aren't you?"
Another sigh was her answer, before Ragnor did finally answer, "Yea…poor guy just needs someone to settle down with…I know he'd be a damn good familiar for any witch, wizard, whatever and whoever is out there…just not many want an unknown creature as a familiar."
