Shionick perfectly arched an eyebrow with a smirk "Oh really now"

He nodded. "Yes, really." He raked a hand through his dark hair, looking at her coolly.

Shionick sighed a chuckled "well i should go apply"

He nodded. "Would you like me to come with you?" He asked.

"sure it's nice to talk to you" Shionick smile and held out her hand in a friendly gesture "plus i don't like to be alone"

He shook her hand after a moment. "Mhm. I'm Jinx. And you are?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

"Shionick. but you can call me Kion" she said with a simple smile

He nodded. "Alright. Come this way." He gestured, and started walking.

Shionick followed him and kept a keen eye for the surroundings

He led her around the main tent to the back, where the performers had their living space.

wow this place is really cool "So i never got the name of this circus?" Shionick asked

He glanced back at her. "It's the-"
"Pairondack Circus!" Interrupted a tall man. "And are you a nee recruit? Or just Jinx's girlfriend?"

Shionick's cheeks flushed a bit sure she liked him but she spoke up "I-i'm the new recruit"

"Ah, very good." The tall man replied. "Come with me, then, to finalize the contract."
Jinx went quiet.

Shionick looked at him and gave him a beaming smile "I'll be fine" then walked off in the same direction as the tall man

He nodded. "I know."
The tall man gave her a strange smile. "Welcome to the circus, miss…?" He trailed off, eyebrows raised.

Shionick smiled "Shionick. It should be fun"

"Well miss Shionick, if you'll just sign these documents, I think we'll do just fine." He replied, pulling some papers out as he led her into a small tent, setting the papers on the table. The logo of the circus looked almost like a messed up pentagram, if one squinted very hard.

the same symbol was on a small pendant Shionick's father had given her when she was young and it still hung around her neck to this day as she signed the papers she could feel the connection to this place "Did you know a Marcus?"

"Mmm…" The man thought for a moment. "No, I don't believe I did." He replied.

Shionick reached for her necklace "My father gave me this a couple days before he died I was hoping you might know what it meant since it looks like the symbol for the circus"

The man reached out, looking at it. "Hmm. It's the symbol for a deal with a demon, child." He replied. "We used it for our logo because my brother thought it looked good."

"Oh i was just curious. Thanks for the explanation" Shionick knew her mind was racing but pushed through it "Do you have any clue if it still ties the demon to me or my father"

He tipped his head. "Demon contracts are made with one person only. They are not transferrable. So while it may still be tied to your father, it should have no effect on you. That is, if that is even a real bargain mark, and not just a cute ornament."

Shionick nodded and tucked the necklace back in between her shirt and tank top "that is relieving. But back to the papers"

The man nodded. He was tall, extremely so, with black hair and eyes that almost seemed to swallow the light with how dark they were. "Right. Finish signing here, and here, and you are officially a circus worker." He pointed to two different sections.

Shionick signed them neatly and fixed the papers when she was done

He smiled slightly, chuckling. "There we go." He said.

Shionick felt her heart leap in happiness at least she thinks that is what it was from

He smiled slightly, chuckling as he put the papers away. "Jinx can show you around. You'll be bunking with Paige for now."
