(Basically Izzy is like an alternate personality that Grace believes is real. And then Grace kinda talks to Izzy and Izzy to Grace but it's really Grace speaking to herself.) "Don't say anything Iz," Grace warns inside her head. "Hey…" Grace trails off.
"Are you okay?" Daso asked, slowly approaching her. He could tell something was off about her, but he wasn't sure what.
"What do you mean?" the Izzy inside of Grace shot back, defensively. "I'm sorry about my friend," Grace apologized.
"Friend?" he repeated softly. "I don't see –I don't think there's anyone there."
"Ugh, again. Why does everyone keep ignoring her? It's like they hate her or something," Grace muttered to herself.
"Okay, so this girl is clearly checked out, if you guys know what I mean," he stage whispered to the group like he was addressing an audience.
Maggie wasn’t sure what to do about it, so she just sort of watched, slightly concerned.
Sage felt bad for the poor girl. She didn't want to offend her, but there really wasn't a way around it. "Nobody hates anyone here. We actually can't see her," the girl tried explaining.
"I-I guess. Dr. Fields said that once…" Grace said awkwardly.
Erik stayed by the tv, unsure of how to react. He’d met some people like Grace before, but he didn’t particularly know how to act. Being honest, the only thing on his mind was getting out of here.
(Ah I'm sorry, I went to bed!)
"Oh I know why! She's invisible! Hehe clever Iz," Grace spoke, having a light bulb go off in her brain.
(Please don’t die (also will the tv come on soon-ish?))
"Right…" Sage said, unsure how to add to the conversation. The poor girl was obviously confused. The sad thing was it was creepy.
Grace watched "Iz slink off" out of the room. "Awww why won't you stay longer Iz?"
Erik pursed his lips as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. “This is awkward,” He muttered under his breath, then searched for the power button on the tv to see if it would work.
Finn watched the others carefully especially the one working on the tv. "I don't think we should touch the giant tv in the creepy room," He calls out.
Erik took a step away from the tv. “It’s gotta have a purpose. I just can’t find the power button,” He explained, then gave up and plopped on a chair nearby. “Where are you all from? South side or north side of the city?” Erik asked the group.
(Are they supposed to all be from the same city?)
(I thought no, I figured this would be a good way for them to realize that)
"Um I guess I'm close to the north end but not really. Does Boston even have a south side?" Finn questioned looking at the boy confused.
Erik sat up straight in his chair, “Did you just say Boston?” Erik held his breath, hoping he heard Finn wrong.
Maggie didn’t say anything for a moment. Boston? That wasn’t anywhere near San Francisco.
Sebastian laughed.
"Riiight, Boston," he said.
Things were getting weirder and weirder by the minute.
"Last I checked, buddy, I was up in Maine."
Daso blinked slowly. "So this isn't Alabama?" He grinned. "I'm less upset than I should be."
“But we’re not in Maine,” Maggie responded, realizing that it wasn’t just one deluded person. They were all confused, it appeared. She wondered how they were all from different places—or at least, four of them were. “Unless I was taken across the country without my knowledge. I’m from San Francisco.”
Erik bit his tongue to keep himself from groaning in frustration and anger. “Heck no. Just- just heck no.” He stood, clenching his hands into fists. The people that kidnapped them… they weren’t messing around. We’re done for.
Finn's eyes wandered. How could they get us all here? How long have we been missing, ” he questioned his voice low in the last part. ”I-i have to get home, ” He says standing up breathing heavy.
