Savannah smiled softly. "I've heard stories of circuses and I always really wanted to go as a kid, but my parents never let me. They said it wouldn't be proper for a lady. But I always thought it'd be fun to just hang out with other people, and eat popcorn and candy and all sorts of things we don't have in the castle."
"Well, how about this, when all of this is settled I'll take you to a circus." Damian smiled. If that's what she wanted then he would take her. Damian moved to in from of Savannah and got down on his knees. Taking her hands in his, he looked at her in the eyes, "Princess Savannah, I Damian promise to protect you, as the future king, your husband, and friend, I'll protect you with my life." He wanted her to feel safe with him. Even if it meant risking his own life, he would do anything for her.
"Thank you… r-really, I mean it." Savannah hugged Damian tightly, blinking away happy tears. We've only known each other for a few weeks, but he still feels inclined to protect me like this…
He hugged her back, but did it for his own reasons. He was cold and tried to take some of her warmth. But that didn't mean he didn't like the hug. "Of course. We should probably head inside. We wouldn't want your parents to worry." He pulled away and stood, holding out a hand for her to take.
Savannah nodded and took his hand, using the other to hold the jacket shut as they walked inside. It was considerably warmer in there, honestly, and she sighed a bit as they went in.
"We should go find your dad. See if they came up with a plan. Oh also, I need to invite Seirra and the gang to meet your dad." Damian let out a sigh as the warm air hit his skin. "Their going to be our undercover townspeople." He laughed, because they are townspeople.
"Alright. Are you going to call them tonight or tomorrow?" Savannah asked quietly, still holding onto Damian's hand. They walked into the meeting room, where the king was still deliberating something.
(I named Caspian, Cameron, Cam for short)
(How should I throw him in?)
(Maybe he came to visit because he's Savannah's friend and heard she got shot?)
"Alright. Are you going to call them tonight or tomorrow?" Savannah asked quietly, still holding onto Damian's hand. They walked into the meeting room, where the king was still deliberating something.
The room went silent as Savannah and Damian entered, and the king and queen went over to them.
"Are you okay, Savannah?" Caspian asked, pulling her into a hug.
Cameron hopped off the slowing horse and ran inside to where Savannah was. "Savannah! Are you ok?" He asked, breathless from running
"Yes, father… I'm alright." Savannah jumped in fright when Cameron ran in, pulling the top of her dressing gown firmly together with a faint blush. "C-Cameron! What are you doing here so… uh… unexpectedly?"
Damian raised an eyebrow as he saw Savannah's reaction to this unknown person, or at least unknown to him. "Hello, I'm Damian, Savannah's husband. And whi might you be?" He wasn't about to let down his guard, even if Savannah knew him. For all he knew this guy could be working with whoever is after her. Daniel stepped up next to Savannah and grabbed her hand.
"I heard what happened, are you alright?" He looked over to the Male who was giving the aura of an alpha Male. "I'm Cameron. A prince from the nearby kingdoms. I had been on my way to visit Savannah and heard about the situation. I am not a enemy, I am a friend of Savannah's"
Savannah nodded to Damian. "He's alright. He wouldn't hurt me." She tugged the jacket tighter around her shoulders as well. She knew Cameron wouldn't try anything, but she'd never want to tempt him or anything.
Cameron nodded and took a few steps back
Lillian smiled at the new arrival. "Welcome back, Prince Cameron."
The king nodded briefly to him, then went back over to the table to continue his conversation with the High Knights.
He bowed respectfully and took his place by the windows
Damian nodded, but kept a firm grip on Savannah's hand. Was this jealousy? Maybe it was because of the way she acted, or maybe he felt that he needed to protect her since he said he would. Damian refused to believe that it was jealousy, how could he be jealous when he didn't like her that way? He looked down at her. Her long eyelashes, and just the way she carried, no, no. I can't think like that, we are only friends. "You should catch up with your friend." Damian let go of her hand and headed to where the king was. That was dangerous.
("We're just friends" bitch you're married lol)
"I… Alright, Damian. I'll be back soon." She smiled softly and walked off with Cameron, still firmly holding Damian's jacket closed. She half wanted to go up to her room and put proper clothes on, but she didn't want to keep Cameron waiting.
(XD)
"And if he doesn't talk? He seemed determined to keep his mouth shut." William asked, his arms crossed over is chest. Virdan waved his hand dismissively. "Bah, we've dealt with the 'I'll never talk' type before." He said.
"Whatever we decide to do with him, as well as the man who shot my daughter," Caspian glared into empty space, "we have to keep this situation out of the ears of the city." He turned to Damian. "What have you on those oh-so-trustworthy people you spoke of?"
(Lmfao)
Cameron took one look at her and immediately changed course. "We are going to your room so you can change. You are going to freeze and your husband will murder me if that jacket slips." He muttered
"Yes, alright… that's fair." Savannah followed Cameron to her room. "I'll be quick, I promise." She went inside and soon came out in a comfortable white dress with a blue cardigan.
"Comfortable? Good, let's go to the gardens." He said giving his forearm to her
Savannah took his arm and walked out with him, not bothering to say she had just been out there with Damian. "So how have things been in your kingdom?"
(Casually chops arm off and presents it to her XD)
"All the peasants are coming in to complain about the same thing even though we have told them countless times that their needs are being looked after. Father is worried because Darrius has been sick lately, and the stress is causing him to have white hairs." He sighed. "I didnt come here only for a visit. Because Darrius is first borne, he will be king however he is sick. Father is too old to deal with all these issues and so I am acting king." He confessed
