"Really well. Honestly I didn't want to wake up." He smiled, and tired to fix his messy hair with his fingers. "I'm pretty sure your staff, or at least your maids don't like me." He walked to the bathroom to change into his new clothes. They were nice and fit for a Prince. But Damian hadn't been a Prince for six months till just a few weeks ago.
He walked out, hair nicely brushed and suit that fit him perfectly.

@Fraust

"You look nice. And I'm sure the staff like you fine; they're just not used to seeing a man in the princess's room." Savannah stood up, smiling softly as she took Damian's hand. "Come along. Penelope told me that the paparazzi want to take pictures outside." She walked out of the room with Damian and went outside, where the photographers immediately began taking pictures of them.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian lifted a hand saying hello and acknowledgingly that people were there. As cameras flashed many voice shouted from the crowd asking questions, but he couldn't exactly make one of the questions out because of how many people were talking. "Do we answer some questions?" Damian asked leaning over to Savannah.

@Fraust

"We probably should…" Savannah held up one hand and the chatter stopped immediately. Once she put it down, the photographer closest to them started asking questions. "Prince Damian, how are you feeling about being a married man? What is it like to be married to a girl so young?" Savannah kept quiet, since this question was to Damian.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Ah, well, I'm extremely lucky to be married to such an amazingly smart, beautiful, determined and caring. As for age, I don't think it's much of a problem." He looked over at Savannah. As he was about to say more, a tall man in the back stepped up. "How do you feel about it?" He looked at Savannah, pen and paper in hand. "How does it feel to be married to an older man, from a small country. What does his people have to offer." For a moment Damian's anger boiled up. But he knew it wasn't right for a Prince, much less a future King to start anything. And the look on this mans face clearly told him that he either had personal issues or was trying to set a fire to the crowd, and it worked. People whispered, agreeing with him. Why would a small country Prince marry the Princess, what did they have to offer?

@Fraust

"Oh! Um, well, I think Damian is very lovely. He's got a lot of great qualities, and he'll make a good king. The age difference doesn't bother me; he's just more prepared and responsible than he would be otherwise. His people are good people; loyal, hardworking, and strong. Having such people as allies is good for the kingdom." She seemed to have convinced some people, but this man was persistent. "Knowing how many people could be upset with this decision, do you feel safe being out in the open like this?" "Do I feel safe? Well, sure… should I not?" Is this man a real reporter? The man grinned and whistled, the sound of a gunshot sounding through the air. The bullet hit Savannah's shoulder and she gripped Damian's arm tightly, hearing screams from the crowd. The guards quickly apprehended the man and dragged him off.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

The king and queen jumped at the sound of a gunshot and screaming, and a maid burst into their room. "YOUR MAJESTIES! Something went wrong! The princess has been shot!"
"What?!" Caspian and Lillian followed her out to the deck that overlooked the city, and they saw the crowd at the front of the castle scattering and some gaurds dragging a man away. They spotted Savannah and Damian, and Lillian gasped.
"My baby!" Lillian ran off, down the stairs and toward the front halls, with Caspian and a few knights following.

@Fraust

"I-I'm alright, really…" Savannah smiled weakly to reassure her parents when they came down. "They only hit my shoulder." She had her shoulder covered with one hand so the others couldn't see the blood. When one of the guards tried to move her hand, she turned away a bit. "Not here…" She whispered. "There's still people. I'm okay, everyone!" She waved to the few people who were still there. "We're just… going to go back inside now." She turned away and walked into the castle with the others.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian immediately and without thought picked her up and started running up the stairs. He ran right past the Queen, not even one look. All his head was fill with was Savannah, and getting her to the Castle infirmary. It may just be the shoulder, but shes lost a lot of blood. "Listen, you have to stay awake." Busting through the door he made a few nurses and doctors jump. But once they saw what was happening they went to work. Taking her from his hands, he stood there in shock. Why would someone do this, and what was their agenda? He didn't know… not yet. "Take care of her, I'll be back later." He stormed out and went to change his clothes. He needed to be on the streets to find out where, who and why, someone would do this. And how many there are.

@Fraust

While the doctors were bandaging her shoulder, Savannah kept insisting that she was fine. Sure, she was a bit lightheaded, but she hadn't been shot anywhere serious. "Where did Damian go?" She asked. The doctors didn't want to tell her at first, but eventually told her that he'd gone back out. "I need to go help him." The doctors gently held her down. "Miss, we can't let you leave in the condition. It's too dangerous." Savannah sighed and sat back, frustrated. I hope Damian doesn't get hurt too…

@TinyMagicWolf pets

While Caspian calmed the still lingering crowd outside, Lillian headed after Damian. She waited as he took her inside the infirmary, then went inside and found her daughter.
"Savannah, sweetie, are you okay?" The doctors wouldn't let her get too close, so she stood a few feet from the bed.

@Fantasy-Illy!

Damian wasn't in fancy clothes, not when he was about to go on a mission. While out he acted just like everyone else, keeping a look out for the man who shot Savannah. It wasn't until he got to the slums that things started to seem… off. Whispers as he walked by. There was something hiding in the dark, he knew it. At the corner of his eye walking down a dark alleyway, was the man. And Damian took off. With a surprise attack Damian took him down easily. It also didn't help that Damian was much bigger than him and in shape. This guy looked like a druggie. Pushing the guy out of the carriage, he dragged him up the stairs and as soon as he saw the King he threw him to the ground in front of him. "This is the man who shot your daughter. And also the man who is working for someone to take down the royal family. Although he wouldn't tell me who, I just know there is a lot of people working for him." Damian was going to let the King decide what to do next.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

King Caspian dismissed the knight he had been talking to and knelt down next to the man, glaring intensely. "I've seen this man before. I spotted him lurking around the castle once and sent some knights after him." He glanced up at Damian. "How did you find him?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

"I may have went to the slums and caught him. I know Kings don't do that, and that it's the knights job." He glared down at the man before looking back at the king with anger in his eyes. "He almost killed my wife, and that won't happen when I'm here. I'd suggest getting an investigator, someone you trust to look into who is behind all this." Damian so badly wanted to hit this man, but he didn't want to get down on his level. "Someone is after you, and your whole family."

@Fraust

"I-I'm okay, really… they won't let me leave." Savannah's sleeve was pulled down so her bandaged shoulder was visible. "They said the bullet went through, so we don't have to worry about that. Has Damian come back yet? He's not hurt, is he?"

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Caspian inhaled deeply as he stood, then let it out slowly and glared at the man below him. "Of course there is." He looked at Damian. "You don't think this is first time someone has tried to assassinate one of us, do you?" He turned to the guard behind him. "You, alert the High Knights and have them come to the meeting room. And, if you can…find Leonus." The last part made him want to cringe, but he didn't.

Lillian made an uncomfortable noise from behind her hands, and the one doctor left in the room finally allowed her to approach and hug Savannah. "I don't know about Damian, but I'm sure he's fine. He's strong and knows his way around."

@Fraust

Savannah nodded, wincing slightly when her mother hugged her. "Do you think he found the guy that did it? When will we be allowed to go outside again?" She knew that it would be some time before she would be allowed to leave again for fear of her safety, but staying inside the castle all the time was going to drive her mad.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Lillian straightened up, fixing her dress. "A week or two, I suppose. It's usually longer when there's an assassination attempt on the throne, but this wasn't too big." She paused and looked at Savannah, then leaned over and kissed her head. "Not that you getting…s-shot…isn't big."

@Simon-Says

(Just gonna rudely interrupt…)
Georgiana rushed down the halls, not stopping until she was near the hospital wing. She couldn't keep the whispers out of her head. The queen… shot… For once, she didn't stop for formalities. "Princess - er - queen - ugh, Savannah, are you all right? What happened?" She asked hurriedly.

@Fraust

"Georgiana?" Savannah looked up at her as she entered. "Yes, I'm fine. Have you been running? You seem winded…" She tried to get up to check on Georgiana, but the doctors held her down. Savannah sighed a bit, but stayed where she was. "Do you know where Damian is?"

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Of course I know this isn't the first time." Damian was just a tad rude about it. Was the King belittling him, thinking as he didn't know anything. "But this is the first time it was done so openly. I'm just saying to are getting braver, and getting people to talk." Damian fixed his suit keeping his composure against the King. "I should go see my wife. So if you'll excuse me." He bowed before turning on his heels and walking away. Damian wasn't King yet so he couldn't make many decisions, but he could help the King get some insight. "Savannah?" He opened to see Savannah, her mother and Georgeiana. "Thank the heavens you are okay." He sighed and walked over to her.

@Fraust

Savannah hugged Damian and breathed a sigh of relief. "No one really seemed to know where you'd gone… you can't run off like that! You could get hurt, you know." She broke away and winced a bit at the sudden movement in her shoulder. "Did you find the guy? I presume that's what you were out trying to do anyways, right?"

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Damian stood there for a moment, just watching the shooter try not to look at him, then he called over two guards. "Take this man down to the dungeon. I've got a meeting to get to." He turned and headed down the hall as the guards lifted the man and took him away. He walked a little quicker than usual, and soon opened the doors to the meeting hall, where three men were already sitting at the long table. "Gentlemen." Caspian bowed his head courtly, as did the men. "We have some business to take care of."

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Ah yes. Your Father is dealing with him." Damian pulled Savannah into a gentle hug making sure not to hurt her. "Don't worry, I won't get injured that easily." Damian had been on his own in the woods for a while, and even in his own country wild animals always wandered around. So he was used to this kind of stuff, although it was his first time hunting down a human. "You should be sitting and resting. You just got shot, so I think standing isn't the best choice right now."

@Fraust

"Everyone's worrying so much… it's just my shoulder, I'm okay." Savannah sat down anyways. She never really got anywhere by disobeying people. "I'm sure I'll be good as new in a few days. May I return to my chambers now." The doctors discussed for a moment before deciding that she could leave so long as Damian went with her. She stood up and took Damian's arm, walking out of the infirmary.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Are you sure you are okay?" Damian carefully walked in case she started hurting or something. "That really freaked me out." Running a hand through his hair, he sighed, sort of letting all the stress out. Now he knew he was going to be paranoid whenever Savannah goes outside. But as long as he's there, he'll do his best to not let her get hurt.

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Lillian followed them out, then pulled Georgiana aside. "Tell Damian the king and I will be in the Meeting Hall…and that my husband may want to talk with him. But he doesn't have to come right away; I would honestly prefer he stay with Savannah for a while." She walked away, toward the Meeting Hall. There was always a meeting with the High Knights when something like this happened.

@Fraust

"I'm perfectly fine, Damian. This kind of thing just happens sometimes. They won't let me go outside for a week, and then everything will be back to normal." They made it up to Savannah's bedroom, where she sat down again. "Just try to relax, okay? Everything will be normal again soon." She spotted a knight waiting at her door. "I think someone wants to talk to you." She said to Damian, looking over at the ink knight.

@Fantasy-Illy!

"Hm?" He followed Savannah's line of sight. Once he helped Savannah get comfortable he walked to the door, shutting it behind him. "Is something wrong?" The guard just laughed and patted Damian's shoulder. "No, nothing g like that. The King is holding a meeting and wants you to attend. Come, follow me." Damian quickly opened the door and told Savannah he would be back in a bit. The guard leads him down a few hallways before entering a room. The King and Queen were there along with the high knight and a few older people. "I was told to come."

@TinyMagicWolf pets

Everyone turned to the doors as Damian entered, the knights greeting with curt bows. "Good, you're here. Please, sit." Caspian said, motioning to the seat on his left side. He was at the head of the table, with Lillian to his right, and the knights on either side down. "Is Savannah okay?"
