Georgiana found a bench and sat down on it. "You're allowed to compliment me now," she teased, not really meaning it.
Savannah smiled. “I’d like that very much. Where would you like to go?” She gently took his hand and walked out the door past the guards, who noted her leaving. She knew that they were aware she was leaving, which meant her parents wouldn’t worry.
A guard approached the pedestal, informing the king and queen that the princess was going outside with the prince. "What- where are they going?" Caspian asked, raising his hand to signal another guard over, but Lillian stopped him before he could order that guard to follow the duo. "Let them go, Caspian. They'll be okay." Caspian groaned quietly, but lowered his hand as his wife smiled at the guard. "You may return to your post." The guard did at told, and Lillian called over one of the maids. "Casey, please go find Lady Georgiana and ask her to keep an eye on the prince and princess. Make sure she knows that she doesn't have to leave her friend or anything, just watch my daughter for a bit. And apologize for my interrupting her time. Thank you."
"First, we'll need a change of clothes." Damian was aware of party going on in town as well. They had loud festive music, delicious food, and people who actually cared for each other. "To the town we go!" He pointed off into the distance and took her hand leading the way. Once they got into town Damian took her to his favorite shop. He picked out a white Tshirt and some tan pants. He messed up his hair. Completely loosing up.
Georgiana frowned slightly at being told she was to watch the prince and princess. This is going to be SO awkward, she thought. "Er, I suppose I'd better find them, then… you could come with, if you like," she told Marcus.
Savannah got a casual dress and changed into it. (https://www.bing.com/th?id=OIP.ET44ctsHT3nU5u0Y6tet3gHaJQ&pid=Api) "What do you think?" She asked, spinning around in the dress. The pink went well with her auburn hair, which she had let down at this point.
Riverpaw had watched the prince and princess leave the castle, hoping they'd be okay by themselves. It wasn't that she thought they couldn't protect themselves, but they were royalty, and they did just come from a ball that surely everyone knew they'd be at. There was bound to be some commotion if anyone were to recognize them.
"You look beautiful." He said with a smile. Then right outside the drums went off and shouting came from the streets. "Its starting." He set money on the counter to pay for the clothes. When they walked out the town square was crowds of people dancing. But no waltz or ballroom, no just crazy whatever you wanted to do dances. People waved flags and threw colorful confetti. This was Damian's kind of party. "What do you want to do first? Eat, dance meet new people, play games? There so much to do. His eyes lit up as he watched the people's faces full of delight and happiness.
“We should talk to some people! I never really get to talk to the locals, you know? My parents don’t like me going out into the square very often.” Savannah grinned and walked over to the party, pulling Damian along with her. “Hey, guys! What’s going on?”
"I think that is a good idea." Marcus stood and held his hand out to help Georgiana up.
"We should hurry before we lose them in the crowd."
Georgians smiled, taking his hand. She quickly walked over towards the ptince and princess.
Marcus looked down at his uniform.
"I'll be right back…" He quickly ducked away, changing into a simple shirt and pants. He paid for the clothes and walked back. He still had a knife at his side.
A group of teens about Savannah's age looked up. One boy had a turkey leg shoved in his mouth as the others just laughed at him. The a girl with extremely bright red curly hair stood. "Hi, I haven't seen you around. Are you new to town." Then she looked over to Damian. "I do know you though. Why haven't you been at the inn, I needed some of your soup." She playfully scolded him and hit his shoulder. All Damian could do was laugh. Unlike Savannah, he knows the locals very well. "I'm Sierra."
Georgiana unfcertainly looked down at her maid's uniform. "Should I change as well?" She asked, ambivalent.
Marcus thought for a moment, then nodded. He led her to a nearby store.
"It would be best to blend in. We can put your uniform in my bag."
Georgiana quickly found a dark blue dress with bell sleeves that almost matched her eyes. "Now I can blend in… to the night!" She said dramatically, holding one hand in the air. She had visibly loosened up after leaving the castle.
Marcus smiled.
"Like a shining star in the night sky."
Georgiana hid her face in her hands again. "Come on, let's go find the princess," she said mildly.
"After you, m'lady." Marcus held his hand out again.
"Thank you," she said, smiling. She didn't really like having her guard down, but Marcus was nice, unlike many people. She couldn't help it.
Marcus smiled back as he walked out of the store, holding the door for her.
"Well, I've lived in town all my life. I just don't get to go out much." Savannah laughed with the group. This is fun… it's nice that they don't know who I am. They don't treat me any differently. "I'm Savannah. What are your names?" She received a Cas, Lily, Theodore, Zach, and Miley.
Sky had gotten a bit too skittish, even with the distance between them and the crowd of people, so she hurried Riverpaw and Eleena away and out of the castle as quick as she could without attracting attention. Once they were outside again, Riverpaw had to admit that she felt much better. "Okay, so, that was fun, but let's never do it again." Her sister said. "But you hardly did anything?" Eleena said, a hand on her hip. "River and I were the ones enjoying ourselves, while you stood around and wallflowered the whole time." Sky shrugged, then grabbed her sister's hand and started leading her away. "Whatever. I just want to get home and out of human territory."
"Fine, sure, I get it. I'll walk you guys back to the forest, yeah?" Eleena took Riverpaw's other hand as the trio made their way to through the city.
"Come sit." Sierra said, patting the log they all were sitting one. Usually there would be a fire right now, but since the nights have been getting warmer there was no need. "Damian I see that you cut your hair. If I'd known you were that handsome I would have left Cas for you." Milly said, pretending to be dazzled by Damian's looks. Cas on the other hand just laughed. He knew she was joking since that's all they ever did. "Kidding, I could never leave this blonde goofball." Lily leand over to Savannah and whispered in her ear. "Are you and Damian a thing? I've never seen him just casually walking around with girls."
Seeing the group of teenagers, Georgiana slowly headed over, feeling a bit anxious.
Marcus stood in the doorway of the store for a moment, watching Georgiana. She really was beautiful.
"Are you going or not?" The store owner asked. Marcus apologized and moved to catch up with Georgiana.
"Mind if I sit?" Georgiana asked the group rather quietly.
Marcus caught up after this.
"Mind if I join as well?"
Cas turned and smiled, handing the two a beer. "Sure, the more the merrier." Damian just sat and chatted like he would every other day when he saw them. He wanted to be a King that knew his people and their needs. A King who was ignorant to his people, was no King at all. "Wow, so many new people!" Theodore shouted out of drunkenness. He always got excited and loud when he was drunk.
