Xena went to the archery range and picked up a bow. Seeing some of the other kids, she smiled and waved before going to pick up a quiver of arrows.

“Sorry.” Trenton muttered reflexively, then gritted his teeth in frustration. “It’s a habit. I’ll try to suppress it for you.”
“Trent…. I’m telling you that you don’t need to apologize.” Lydia said quietly.
Trenton opened his mouth to apologize again before shutting it quickly. He scratched at his head and sighed. “Right.” He mumbled, pulling his lower lip between his teeth, chewing on it nervously.
“So…. how’s your cabin?” Lydia asked, hoping to distract him.
Blair stopped singing, having calmed down enough to start shooting again. He shot off another round, peircing the trees near him.
“It’s—“ Trenton froze at the sound of gunshots in the distance. “Fine. It’s fine.” The color started to drain from his cheeks again, but he kept his mouth sealed shut, sitting as still as a statue.
Blair shot a few more rounds if you listened closely you could almost hear a musical beat in it, if you listened very closely.
“Hey…. he isn’t close enough to hurt us.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about.” He replied, staring straight ahead. “There are kids here. Little kids.”
Blair stood up, making his way deeper into the forest to where he had a small shack with some herbal things in there. He entered the shack, sitting down on the floor and grabbing his bowl and some leaves.
Lydia thought of her little brother. “He’s not stupid enough to hurt a little kid.” She said, ignoring the intrusive thoughts of her impulsive brother.
Trenton slowly started to unwind as the gunshots stopped. “But what if he does? What if he’s not paying attention? You saw how he just turned his hearing aids off!” He rambled, hugging his knees to his chest.
“Trent, we don’t know that’s going to happen. He’s obeservant.”
Blair mushed up some Kava Kava, pouring some water into the mixture and adding some Chamomile, this was a good mixture he used when he was overwhelmed.
“He could mess up, you don’t know that.” Trenton rubbed the spot on his head where Blair had hit him with his staff.
“Lets just not worry about it until we need to. As far as we know, he has good aim, and he’s observant. And as much as I hate to say it, he’s smart. He’ll be careful.”
Idiots, all of them, especially the rich kid, Trenton. Blair sneered in his head, he couldn't stand stuck up rich kids, they always took things away from the people who needed it. Like how Aria lost her leg and was the only one who survived the bombing, the rest of our family couldn't get treatment becuase some rich kid broke his arm.
“I can’t allow anything like that to happen again. I refuse to stand by and let that happen.” Trenton narrowed his eyes, glaring out at the ocean.
“Norhing’s going to happen. The worst thing you can do is go start another fight with him.”
"Once upon a time. A small wonderland far, far away, there lived a pair of royal twins and their family. Until one day, the castle got bombed and everyone died, the end." Blair said with a chuckle as he took another sip of his mixture.
He shifted his gaze back to Lydia, slightly confused. “There wasn’t any conflict that I recall.”
“Verbal fights turn into physical fights. Every time.” Lydia said quietly.
I love giving my children mental issues.//
Trenton sensed there was some backstory behind Lydia’s statement. He sat up a little, hoping to help her feel better. “Are you quite certain? I am rather charming.” He smiled softly.
“You are, but not around Blair. Just…. you have to be careful.” Lydia had already decided that Trent was her friend, and had involuntarily become worried about him. “Just stay away from him. Hopefully, he’ll keep his distance.”
Lydia is me with random strangers//
