"Vretiel is a handsome name…" she replied, shifting in her seat "Much better than Thomas, I agree" she added, her smile brightening.
"Vretiel is a handsome name…" she replied, shifting in her seat "Much better than Thomas, I agree" she added, her smile brightening.
Thomas smiled, "What about you? What was your demon name?"
She ignored the question, knowing that he probably wouldn't talk to her after she told him she was one of the queens. She looked up at him again, a weak smile on her face, "What have you ordered?" she asked
Thomas frowned at the change of subject, "Uh, just a large coffee" he said simply, "You?"
"I think I'm gonna order and Acacia and strawberry tea" she replied, watching his facial expression change.
He chuckled, "Sounds good." He stood, "Let me grab it. Its on me" he smiled and made his way to the counter, ordering it and handing over the necessary amount of money
The blush came across her face and neck again, her eyes wandering across his body as he ordered her drink. She fixed her drink and fiddled with the gold chain around her neck.
Thomas grabbed both of the drinks and set them down, sitting across the table, "So why are you going to high school?" He asked, taking a sip of his coffee
"Figured it'd be worth the experience" she replied, quickly thanking him for the drink and smiling at him.
Thomas nodded, a soft smile on his face, "Its, ah, an experience. That's for sure" he chuckled
She laughed with him, "You tell me. I'm doing pretty well academically but with people, I think half of our school hates me and I've never ever gone on a date" she sputtered, not really knowing what else to say.
Thomas feigned offense, "Oh, I'm hurt. Does this not count as a date?" He asked, putting his hand over his heart in mock hurt
She froze her eyes wide and her blush growing and reddening, "of course this is a date I've just never been on one before until now!" she replied, studdering over her words. Stupid human empathy and feelings! she groaned in her head.
Thomas laughed, "Its fine, I got it" he smiled softly, "First date I've been on too… but I think Thomas was quite the ladies man"
She looked down at her lap, biting her lip when she looked up. Her cheeks were pink and radiant against her pale face and dark hair. Her gentle hands were placed in her lap but were now on her arms, rubbing lightly. "I'm sure he was." she chirped.
Thomas' eyes scanned her face, feeling the incredible urge to reach out and touch it. Instead, to distract himself, he took a sip of his coffee
She looked down at her cup and in picking it up mirrored him subconsciously as he took a sip, bringing her cup down after him, "So, your…angel's wings are pretty" she hummed, placing her cup down gracefully.
Thomas smiled, "Thanks. I was glad to be able to keep them" he admitted, "Though did you know that Thomas had wings before I came along?" He admitted
"I could see feathers by his locker, yes, but I can't remember if that was before or after you came along or not. But for me, Thomas, though we never spoke, I could tell he was going through some stuff," she replied, exhaling. She inhaled again, "But we exchanged a gentle, softspoken 'Hi' every now and then." she added, a small smile appearing across her face. But I didn't start to um…" her words got caught on her tongue and she pinked again. "I didn't start to have…human emotion for him until the feathers came," she finished.
She took another sip of her drink, her gaze shifting to the window. The sun caught her eyes once again and they shifted from shiny rose gold to a gentle red colour, her eyelashes framing them perfectly. She brushed her hair out of her face and her eyes rolled past the strangers that walked by.
Thomas tipped his head to the side, "They were actually leathery, dragon-like" he murmured, his voice distracted as he looked into her eyes, mesmerized
"Huh," she replied, her mind elsewhere. She soon returned to the present and caught his eyes on hers. Though her blush didn't return, heat travelled to all parts of her body, feeling as though she had been infected by the human races identification of what they called love. She hated it, loved it and was mesmerized by the feeling that enraptured her all at once.
Thomas felt his heart rate increase and his breath quicken. He bit his lip slightly, then leaned forward slowly, letting hjs eyes flutter closed as their lips touched softly
(sorry my responses are so slow, the family is over)
Her eyes closed as well when their lips touched. Her heart had quickened but she tried to keep her breath steady. She hadn't kissed anyone before and to kiss the first angel that she'd ever met was exhilarating. Her lips softly parted to meet with his again, the pink hue returning, covering the T zone of her face.
No problem!//
Thomas brought a hand up to cup her cheeks, tipping his head to the side and deepening the kiss
His skin on her and his lips on her lips were enough to drive her crazy but instead, she kept calm, placing a hand on his chest and trailing down his collarbone.
Thomas' whole body shuddered at her touch. He pulled away slightly, "Do you live alone?" He asked quietly
"Yes, why?" she asked, her expression coy and innocent. Her hand rested at his collarbone and their lips were only inches apart, she wondered how she wasn't red all over.
Thomas felt a smirk rise to his face, "I think you know exactly why" he whispered, his voice low and husky
Her eyes fluttered before a small smirk appeared across her face, "You sure you want to have your reputation tarnished by a demon like me?" she asked while biting his lower lip.
"Excuse my language, but fuck my reputation" he growled, looking into her eyes, "I don't care if your a demon,"
"Get a room!" Someone shouted from across the Starbucks.
Thomas frowned and stood, tugging Rose towards him and giving her a big hickey on her neck before looking around, then back at her, "What do you think? Shall we get a room?" He asked huskily
