Alex almost jumped when he heard Gabriel's voice, mid-sip of his drink. He coughed as he swallowed the alcohol, nervous to see the angel again. "Only way to get through these parties," He admitted before coughing again, finally clearing his throat, "I'm quite far from enjoying this event."

He glanced up at the taller male, frowning before glancing around and asking in a more hushed and pressing tone, "What are you doing here? I told you already, I'm not who you're looking for." Quickly, he downed the rest of his drink, sure that it was just the lack of alcohol in his blood. This couldn't be happening again, he couldn't be actually seeing the same male with the same damn wings. When he had gotten into his car, he figured that would be the last time he would see him, not again at a party. Though from a quick once over of the room, he guessed that Albellona wasn't around. At least that was nice. The woman didn't bother him, but he was sure that this room full of people couldn't handle a fight like what he saw from the cliff.

Gabriel let out a tired sigh “my superiors dont lie. Ive remembered your face, and quite frankly all your stats, so i can find you every time you leave. So try to leave and deny the fact that youre the prophet. But thats only going to make things worse and I’m going to find you again.” He put a firm hand on his shoulder
“my job is to keep you protected, but I’m not able to do so if you keep running away. I’m trying to keep you out of reach from the demons trying to hunt you down and torture you for information.” He says sternly.
The demon he was trying to protect this particular human from was in fact here in the building, and thats why he wanted to get this over with as quick as possible.
But he knew Albellona wouldnt have that.
Of course

"I don't know any information that is desirable…unless demons are looking for the beginnings of coding and technology engineering?" He replied in a frankly exasperated way, "I can guarantee you that I don't know anything of worth for you or them or your supposed superiors."
Alex met Gabriel's eyes as he talked, messing with the glass in his hand and looking for the best excuse to leave at the moment. There had to be some way to excuse himself from the situation. Preferably as fast as possible before he got sucked into whatever story was going to be spun for him and actually got hooked into what was happening. As long as he didn't get invested in helping Gabriel, or worrying about these demons that were supposedly coming for him, he would be fine.
