Appearance: picrew Monty has dark, ebony skin and steely gray eyes. Whenever he looks too fast in one direction, his eyes swirl like fog. He has short, curly black hair and wears small, rectangular glasses. He stands at 6'4" with a slim body shape and long limbs. Monty has a rounded nose, large lips, and dark eyebrows. His usual facial expression is one of disinterest and distance.
Usual Outfit/Clothing Style: Extremely elegant and professional. Suits, vests, ties, slacks, dress shoes. The only time he's seen out of this is his nighttime attire, which is silk pajamas. He occasionally uses a black cane to get around due to his arthritis in his knees.
Personality: Monty is very calm and professional at all times, only really loosening up around his husband. He talks using extensive vocabulary and does so in a deep voice that rattles the floor. Monty is on the introverted side, not really choosing to speak unless spoken to. He's sort of strict and disciplined, contrary to Harry's loose style of living. Despite his distant demeanor, Monty does care for all of his bookstore and his husband very much. He's kind of oblivious when it comes to social cues and panics easy when it comes to his loved ones.

Brief Backstory: Monty was born an only child into a Shade family. His parents were well known generals in the Shade Army and wielded powerful magic that only the strongest of sorcerers could have. They wanted him to take their place, to truly overthrow the Flares once and for all, but Monty had different plans. He had always been a lover, not a fighter. So, when he was seventeen, he packed up his stuff and left. Only a few days after, he received news that his parents had died in a brutal attack. With no home, Monty wandered around the Sorcerer's Land, one similar to Earth, just an a whole different parallel.

Appearance: picrew Harry has tanned skin with dark brown eyes and curly amber hair. He has an award winning smile and a small, pointed nose. His smile and his eyes quite literally shines in the the light. Harry stands at 5'11" with broad shoulders and an inverted triangle body shape.
Usual Outfit/Clothing Style: Very fun and flamboyant. Colorful button up shirts, big jackets, heeled shoes, top hats and trench coats. Nothing too feminine, but still extremely colorful. His outfits always look put together and Harry always makes an effort to look nice. He tends to lean towards oranges, yellows, and reds for his outfits.
Personality: Harry is an over-the-top showman. He's flirty, sarcastic and amazing at keeping someone's attention. However, despite his extroverted exterior, this man has many secrets and schemes in his head. Harry loves his bookstore and his husband with all of his heart, but that doesn't mean that he's safe from his teasing and pranks. However, his teasing and nagging can go a little far at times. He's always quick to apologize if he has done something wrong though. Harry is amazing at talking with people and good at negotiating. Harry loves to show off, eager to show people his new magic tricks or a new song he learned on an instrument. He's kind of egotistical, but he really doesn't mean any harm. Just an overall people person.

Brief Backstory: Harry was born the oldest to a middle-class Flare family. His father was a medic and his mother an archer in the war. He was set to enlist the day he turned sixteen, but Harry didn't want to. He'd seen what the War had done to his family. So, he chose to run. He said goodybe to his sister, whom he was the closest to, and then disappeared off into the forest.

Combined backstory:
While Monty was picking berries in the forest, he caught a Flare sorcerer attempting to steal his belongings. The two dueled, Monty gaining the upper hand and pinning the other against a tree. This is how he met his future husband. The other laughed and introduced himself as Harry Polema, a rogue Flare soldier looking for something grander than war. Monty and Harry decided to stick together, avoiding the war and surviving off the land together. Eventually they fell in love, blah, blah, blah all the mushy stuff. Eventually Monty proposed and Harry, of course, said yes and the two of them set the date to be married. However, when the day arrived for them to get married, the largest battle in the history of the Thousand Year War for Light interrupted them in what they thought was a neutral city. The woman who was going to ordain them, a powerful neutral sorceress named Magnolia, realized that this battle might carry on to the human world. She quickly ordained the two men and gave them a mission to protect the human world from the War. Ever since then, the two of them have lived in their bookstore, protecting the human and sorcerer barrier from the War.
