Hey! I'm bored and need another roleplay ;-;

Light, and Dark. . . Order, and chaos. . . Life, and death. . .

These parallels are what guide the world of Thœlvûnd. The world of paladins, knights and crusaders. The world of Heaven and Hell, of demons and angels, of the Eternal Conflict.

It is 1436, the Era of Prosperity. Character A is a Light Paladdin, a warrior for the Heavens. They have been in training up in the mountains of the far Northeast, in the traditional homelands of the Angels, since they were 6. They are soon to graduate from the Academy of the Light, into the upper ranks of the Revelations Crusaders, a branch of the Templars of Heaven. They are powerful, one of the most promising graduates of the Academy since the Era of Darkness. They are destined to rise to the ranks of the Dominions, those Angels who oversee the Lower Choirs (the Principalities, Archangels and Angels are the Lower Choirs) Character B is of the Darkness, from the ranks of the Brimstone Legion, the military might of Hell. They are powerful, on par with the Dominions of the Light. They command the Hellfire Battalion, an elite unit formed to combat the Revelations Crusaders.

These two meet at the start of this roleplay and fight, exchanging titanic blows and letting off powerful bursts of fire, light and darkness. As they fight, they begin to wonder, "Are we really so different? Why must we fight? Can we not co-exist?"

These thoughts spark something, a new change. They signal the start of a new Era, one forseen only by the highest ranks of Heaven and Hell, a prophecy neither one wanted to come about, for if things go right, it could spark the end of both sides.

A powerful romance blossoms, and each loses the will to fight - slowly, but surely, the eons long war grinds to a halt as this pair works together, uncovering secrets they could never have found by themselves. Secrets that each side wishes would have stayed secret. And they begin their own quest to end the iron-fisted rulerships of God and Lucifer, smiting any enemy who stands in their way, be it Seraphim or King of Hell.

  1. Cursing is fine, just don't go overboard!
  2. Be online often; I'm generally online from 2:40 PM CST to anywhere from 10:00 PM CST to 3:30 AM CST.
  3. Occassionally, I'll be on all day but that's rare except for the weekends.
  4. Being powerful is perfectly acceptable here!
  5. Be at least semi-literate. Punctuation at the least so I know when a sentence ends and another starts!
  6. Be kind out of character! I'm pretty understanding when it comes to rudeness, but if I feel that it keeps happening even after I try and help you, I'm not going to roleplay with you. I understand, nowadays life is stressful but don't take it out on me please!
  7. If there's smut, bring it to PMs! (Yes, a deviation from my usual rules 😈) If you're not comfortable with it, I understand!

Personality: Fréa, being raised in a remote location with no contact with boys at all, has no clue how to interact with men. As a result she can come off as rude and cold towards them, when really she just wants to try and talk. She is a very headstrong woman, and loves to bend the rules in her favor. Because of this she was constantly being assigned extra afternoon chores and scripture reading. She enjoys battling the Brimstone Legion and looks forward to battling the Hellfire Battalion, a well-known group of soldiers within Hell's army.

Dislikes: Rude people, demons, bitter/sour things
Hobbies: Painting and writing poetry.
Powers: Sun/Light Magic, Healing, Regeneration (from her Angelic heritage) Battle Magic (Enhancing senses, speeding up strategic thought, etc.) Electric Magic, Fire Magic ⎮⎮⎮ Proficient with martial and simple weapons (i.e. longswords, shortswords, greatswords, clubs, warhammers, maces, flails, etc.)
Conditions: Undiagnosed ADHD (nobody knows what ADHD even is really, so yeah)
Background: She lived with her adoptive parents until age 6, when she was taken to the mountains in the far Northeast, in the traditional homelands of the Angels. She is currently going through graduation - surviving her first battle with the Brimstone Legion.

Name: Malacin Dayglow
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Half-demon
Appearance: Malacin is a red-skinned woman, more demon-looking than human, with large red horns, pointed upwards. She has shoulder length, but very full, black hair that covers her right eye. When in battle, she wears a porcelain mask with upturned eyebrows and a pouty lip. The mask has a teardrop shape under each eye and downturned eyeholes. She's around four eleven and has a curvy figure.
Personality: Malacin is a very soft-spoken woman, with a love for baking and a good person with kids. She's exactly who you wouldn't expect to be a champion of darkness.
Likes: Baking, taking care of people, occasionally fighting, but she tends to keep that as a last resort unless she goes into rage mode
Dislikes: angels, cinnamon candy/gum, people being mean to her "kids"
Hobbies: Baking, gardening, etc.
Powers: Corruption, stealing from others to heal herself, etc.
Conditions: She got injured a while ago, and never healed right, she now relies on her left leg more than her right and often uses a cane
Background: Malacin is,,, quiet about her background, to say the least. All people really know about her is that angels killed her mother, the only one who actually looked out for her when she was a kid.
Other: She has a smoking problem.

The clash of steel on steel. The scent of iron on the low winds of the plains. The sounds of metal rending metal and flesh alike. These are the sounds that Fréa tunes out.

These are unimportant things, little things. What was truly important was the demon woman in front of her.

Her own sword was wreathed in lighting, fire and holy light, each cast in succession at the beggining of her battle, each wrapping theirselves around the demon, shocking and burning her as her sword batters through the other's guard, scoring yet another hit.

"I thought the Brimstone Legion's commanders were supposed to be strong." she taunts. Her heart wasn't in the words though. She knew the other woman, the demon-woman, was amazing. She'd scored several hits herself, tearing through her platemail like it was paper.

Malacin hissed as yet another strike hit her, the fire and blessed light cutting through her dark metal armor like it was butter. However, just as she was hit, she managed to grab the other's sword, letting her power seep through the bloody cuts on her hands, a result of the sharp edges of the sword now digging into her hands, and making the sword begin to decay away.

She smiled underneath her mask. "And I thought that the Revalations Crusaders were supposed to be able to purge the world of corruption?" She hummed, voice soft and harmonious, sounding much like an angel's was thought to be, but tinged with pain and anger.

@andrew flash_on

"Oh, I am very capable of that." Fréa chuckles, tossing away her sword and summoning a new one on the spot.

Shep whips it towards the demon's neck quickly, enhancing her strength so that it would probably shear straight through her opponent's sword. A quick move would stop the blade from connecting, but she'd discreetly summoned another sword in her other hand and that was humming through the air, towards her opponent's chest from the other side.

"But you. You are currently what's keeping me from doing that, and I will not allow it."

@Nicolo_Needs_A_Nap Podcast Nerd™

Malacin slid out of the way, the blade slicing through the top of one of her horns, wailing in pain before swallowing it down and scowling. She could feel the anger beginning to take over her rational mind, leading her actions to start losing grace and her mind starting to cloud over.

"You will not take away any more from me, Angel-blood!" She growled, blocking the second sword with her own, slicing it out of the air.

@andrew flash_on

This was what she'd trained for. Once a demon lost control they became easy to defeat.

But as soon as she heard the slur "Angel-blood" she freezes for a moment.

That pause gets cut off once her second sword rings out of her hand.

She gasps shortly, pain lancing through her wrist before she gains control of herself again.

Fréa glares at the demon through the slits in her helmet, and mouths something.

A blazing white diagonal slash blazes across the demon, forcing her back, as the Crusader summons her spear and attempts to pierce the demon woman through her shoulder.

"At least I fight for the cause of God. His light shall burn your pathetic ilk from this world." she snarls in the tongue of the Angels.

@Nicolo_Needs_A_Nap Podcast Nerd™

In Malacin's studies, she had learned a bit of Angel's language, enough to understand the threat behind the other woman's words. "If I'm pathetic then you are the worst of the worst!" She hissed, dodging out of the way while she held her stomach with one hand and threw a javelin at the other's head. "We aren't so different, same shape, same brain, only a few differences. We both fight for a cause we feel is just, so what makes us different?"

@andrew flash_on

"I am better than most of your kind. I don't burn towns and villages. I don't subjugate people to my will. I have never thought of killing my own. I am better than you, in every way." Fréa snaps back, dodging the javelin and stepping past the demon's guard, slashing at her other horn while shifting her grip on her spear so she could drive it into the demon's thigh.

"The difference is your Lord, Lucifer, the Devil, was cast out of Heaven because he was arrogant. My God was justified in doing that. Dissention brings death, and death is for the weak of mind and spirit. By Believing in Him I will attain deathless love and faith." she growls fanatically.

@Nicolo_Needs_A_Nap Podcast Nerd™

"Oh please, I protect those of my own, against the angels who wish to kill us!" Malacin retreated back further, narrowly avoiding the hit to her horns, they didn't grow back and she would like to keep them, thank you. "My Lord has taken in those who were damned, children who were cast out by you angels, my children who have scars from you!"

@andrew flash_on

"The Angels only wish to kill you because you attacked us!" Fréa snaps back, continuing to push the demon woman back with blow after blow.

"We only damned them because they did not love Him, exactly like Lucifer did not love Him!" she counters.

@Nicolo_Needs_A_Nap Podcast Nerd™

"Children should not have to deal with that! You pathetic bag of feathers!" Malacin growled, spitting literal acid at the half Angel. "We have done nothing but protect ourselves!" She hissed, smoke coming from her mouth, an aftermath of the acid, one could presume.

@andrew flash_on

"They should know, from the moment they are old enough to have logical thought, from age 6, that they should Love God because He has done much for the world while all Lucifer has done is cause grief for Him." Fréa screams, dodging the acid. "And you should stop! The more you struggle the more of you that die! Do you people not see that you are your own downfall?"

@Nicolo_Needs_A_Nap Podcast Nerd™

"Yet your righteousness makes you all the better? With your head stuck up so far in your ass that you can't see that both are horrible choices? That I picked the better of two evils?!" She wailed, pulling a bit of the angel's magic to heal her own supply.

@andrew flash_on

"At least I keep my people alive. Even if my head is, as you say, 'up my ass,' I can protect my people, unlike you. And God is not evil. He is Good and Righteous and Loving."
